What is the point in limping on? If you take the “win the next game or you’re sacked” approach, what happens if he does but loses the next one? Agree, there is no turning this round, it's gone beyond untenable. The calculation is, does it do more harm to have no manager rather than Monk. I think the longer Monk stays, it gives the players excuse to hide and for that reason a clean break to clear the air is preferred....but only if we have our ducks in a row and a replacement lined up, because we've seen in the past that Bullen has a useful life span of about 3 games as caretaker. I genuinely believe that if Monk is in charge on Saturday, we gift them the win in a real six pointer, which does more harm that good.
Inspector Lestrade
No one realistically available to takeover. Hello its DC here, I need a new manager and your just the man for the job, we are 2000 points off from the next club. A squad of injured players, and a restless fanbase. Hello... Hello... Hello... Striggy
Regardless of the last two results, and particularly last nights performance, anyone expecting or hoping for Monk's dismissal in the near future is going to be disappointed 1 "nobody told me there would be days like these!" The Night-Owl
Nailed on, Bullen and Beattie in charge for a few games, starting with the Wycombe game or the next game. Whilst we lump on the likes of Cook, Pearson and McCarthy, etc and DC faff's about with his head in the sand in delusion land. League one mediocrity beckons. We'll end up with some leftfield coach from the Dutch second tier or something appointed in December by which time it will be near enough too late to rescue the season. A47Owl
What we really need to see is Chansiri giving Monk a vote of confidence. . Then we know he's on his way.

owlsruleok
Year in year out we as SWFC fans have to put up with mediocrity except for the odd rare season (play off final). BUT this season all we see week in week out is, no skill, no method, no plan, no tactics, no ideas, no good football and NO HEART. We have to put up with square passing of which I will add has brought goals against us and the big hoof down the pitch ie long ball tactics like the old “Wimbledon” style, geez that should not be the Sheffield Wednesday way. We were complaining a couple of years ago about injuries well there seems to be just as many now than ever there was + players signed who are forever injured and never plays. So what in heavens name is happening, it’s your club, you are the owner and we are the supporters, please act quickly because being loyal in football usually does not work. Now Monk has his so called back room staff we are playing worse than ever. Something has to give at Hillsborough Mr Chansiri and if it’s not your patience with the management it will ultimately be the SWFC’s fans and supporters, so be aware be very aware - remember fans are not allowed to the games at the present and on ‘OUR’ form they may well and truly keep away all together because they are getting used to it - so please get something done ASAP otherwise the club will carry on this downward spiral and be another “Bury”. Shez
Monk left Leeds as he didn't want to work with a DOF....that DOF has now built them a decent Prem side. Monk has given Wednesday a bottom half championship team, granted with a limited budget. The guy is an ego...thinks he knows best with his limited experience. Should stick to coaching...and let better minds recruit, that said has he any coaching acumen? Can he develop a style, a plan, a way of playing football matches ala Bielsa/Wilder etc. Can't see the evidence. His crowning glory was to get a Leeds squad (that went on to dominate the division and go up as champions) to 7th....that squad was built by someone else but mismanaged on the field, once a proper cach came in they excelled. Monk is a myth, doesn't have a plan. The tide will only turn when a coach is installed that can develop the players....this one can't

Jim
I’ve said before that when you lose the Wednesday fans, it’s difficult if nigh on impossible to get them back on side. It looks to me that any lasting support he had amongst the fan base has gone. He won’t quit. We know that but it won’t be long before he realises that he’s not wanted and once he realises this, it will be very difficult for him to carry on managing us as everything he does now is scrutinised and ridiculed. When it comes to taking the p!$$, as a fan base we are unforgiving and subsequently one of the few areas where we are Top of the League. If Monk lasts the season, he has the hide of a Rhino but I’m expecting a change during the international break after we lose the next 3 games?

Remember the" Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again" chant at Ipswich. And guess who was in charge of them falling apart.
