Really pleased he came on today. Thought we looked a better team when he was on the pitch. Hope he starts in our next game. Well done today Jordan Rhodes.

We did look far better balanced and he looked more lively than he has done in previous appearances. Hopefully he will continue to look sharp in training and earn himself the chance to get a more regular run. The old Rhodes could be just what we need to feed off Fletcher, it was only 45 minutes but it was the most encouraged a have been by him in a long time.

There were a couple of dodgy over-hit headers/passes back into his own half though!

Watch the highlights if you can, in the first half it was predictable for the Brentford defence with two big guys up front.

Second half Rhodes came on and floated across the frontline, both CB became split and it opened the defence up. It’s what Rhodes does he just floats across the defence on the last man and he gets in behind, he needs to keep doing it because one of those of offsides will become onside soon.

Very intelligent play by Rhodes and needs games to get upto speed  and he could build a good partnership with Fletcher.

The Brentford defence became lost when he came on.

Well done Jordan and I hope it’s gave him a lot of confidence.

Just to add in previous games his head was always down and didn’t  look like he wanted to be in there.

Today his head was up and he was smiling and celebrating.

Rhodes needs games. It might be our best chance of going up. Tell him he’s starting the next 5 games. Rhodes has proved he can score  25 goals a season at this level. Nuhui has proven he can’t.

Its worth a gamble.

Been saying this myself for a long time.

It's the in one minute out the next that doesn't suit him.

Genuinely believe if you did what you suggest and say he's in the starting 11 for the next 5 games you'll see a different player.

He's not the player who comes on at 85mins whilst your 2-0 down who changes the game.

Agree. If Rhodes hits form, we end up in the playoffs. Nuhui is an impact player, and a very good one at that.

It's a strange world when Big Dave starts ahead of Rhodes or Winnall.

It can’t happen anymore and I think GM has seen that today , Nuhiu will have an impact over the season but he’s far far more effective coming off the bench

Its time to get Rhodes in the 11 , get him upfront with Fletcher and give them a run of games , he did exactly what the gaffer said he did this afternoon in terms of stretching the Brentford back line and opening it up for Fletch

It’s next to impossible to move him on in January without letting him go on a free , no more excuses let’s get him playing

Interesting stat on Rhodes since 2012 - he's scored the second highest amount of Championship goals (behind Grabban). He needs to motivate himself to go forward and try to salvage something out of this move to us. Be good to have him fire us to the prem (or safety).

looked better than big Dave who looked as thought he was dragging an anchor today but his 2 most significant contributions were a header 30 yards towards his own goal. And a mistimed clearance from the Brentford half which landed just outside our box!

Agreed. Just the extra mobility helped, any L2 forward  would have been an improvement in Nuhiu's 1st half. But Rhodes was slow and like a fan who won a raffle. He did 2 of those headers towards our goal.

I think Rhodes is at his best when partnered by a traditional target man. He seemed to be doing well in pre-season when partnered up front with Fletch then found himself out of favour when the season kicked off? Strange decision by Bullen but in all fairness to the Scottish caretaker managerial mastermind he hasn't really been fancied by Monk so far? Still think he'll end up back at Norwich in January?
