So forest away end is a line of stewards away from the home fans ,same at Celtic park

Barca fans sit with real Madrid fans at camp nou

Villa park away end next to home fans

Yet nasty Wednesday fans have to be 100 feet away from the away end and we are so terrible that now we can't fill the stands

I wonder if brammall lane will get the same punishment from what happened down there other year

Obviously won't now CUs they are a premier league team

Sounds pathetic to me ,are the force run by kids?

Next best thing, run by the Mason's. Duckenfield admitted he was a Mason at his hearing.

That will be their next move. They will "moniter " the volume of people flooding out onto pensitone rd , then say its dangerous and cut the capacity even more. Its quite clear what they are up to.

Think they’re already on with it, say them with the camcorder on the way out videoing the crowd spilling out into all 4 lanes of the dual carriageway

The other option is as other people have suggested. Give away fans a section of the lower South at the Lep end, say 500/750 seats.

SYP then make it a bubble trip for all away fans attending Hillsborough. They have to be booked on a coach, stop at a rendezvous point to pick up their tickets and the coaches are then escorted in and are made to park on Parkside Road.

Behind the South stand is fenced off so that away fans have to come into the ground from Parkside Road over the bridge and make their way back to the coaches the same way. Doing this means there is zero chance of any interaction between home and away fans.

The downside is is that home fans on the South would need to exit via Penistone Road.

TBH there are a few potential solutions to the issue. If the club suggest them and they are knocked back then yes, it smacks of a vendetta against us.

It seems the root cause of the prohibition notice is due to the forecourt at the back of the Lep not being large enough to hold back away fans safely (when the away end is “full”)

Therefore, as they have to be let out at the final whistle the authorities don’t want home fans to exit via the Leppings Lane end of the ground to avoid any confrontations.

In which case, surely the short term solution is for Wednesday to restrict the away allocation to however many fans the forecourt CAN accommodate safely.

The away fans can then be held back and we can start exiting via Leppings Lane.

The club need to ascertain from SAG or SYP or the authors of the report exactly what that number is.

I realise that the EFL may have something to say as there are “minimum”away allocations but the club just need to cite the report for justification.

The report itself indicates in Figure 17 that up to around 2,000 fans can be safely held in the outside egress if the Leppings Lane exits and entrances are used by our fans. The recommendations of the report also states,

"Further analysis is advisable, particularly around total egress numbers and detailed accurate spatial measurements to ensure the figures presented accurately present the “real live” event".

This suggests that when the away fans travel in low numbers this should be taken into account but it would appear we now have a complete ban on using that area.

The whole thing whilst may be having supporter safety at the heart of it, will only add fuel to the fire that Hillsborough is not fit for purpose.

I would be interested to know just how many other grounds up and down the country, are having the same kind of restrictions applied or if this is as we all seem to feel, an agenda to further tar the club.

I find it completely absurd that the vast majority of these decisions are based on 'think tanks' that have no real world experience of managing live events. It's over zealous at best, targeted at worst.

There is a massive area which is perfect to hold back away fans............ its called the seat where they have spent the previous 90 minutes. A couple of plod on each exit to stop them going into the concourses , job done.

In that case the club should suggest a cap on away fans of 1000, propose it to SAG and gauge their reaction. As I’ve said in a previous post, if the club make workable suggestions and the prohibition notice stays in place then there’s more to this this than meets the eye it would seem.

Steve Lonnia, Chair of the Council’s Safety Advisory Group, said: “Following the submission of a report commissioned by South Yorkshire Police that highlighted issues with regards to public safety on the Leppings Lane forecourt at Hillsborough Stadium, the Council and members of the group have worked very closely with Sheffield Wednesday to resolve these issues.  As the certifying authority, public safety is of paramount importance and it is our duty to act on matters that pose a risk to the public. Due to the evidence presented in the report, we immediately requested that the club submit proposals to deal with the issues raised.  A prohibition notice has been served that means there will be no access or egress from the North and South Stands on to the Leppings Lane forecourt for home supporters.”

23 home league games last season and 22 passed without any noteworthy incident.  The one game with relatively minor disorder was against our local rivals.  Perhaps SYP and SAG could confirm what real life on the ground evidence they have of there being a public safety issue on the Leppings Lane forecourt.

DUE TO THE EVIDENCE PRESENTED IN THE REPORT  lol

The easiest would be to give away fans part of the North, it'd be easy to segregate on both concourses and then build a fence that will make home fans on Lepp go down side of south stand....that way there'd be no contact.

So just to understand the entire holding back and space argument - has every other ground been subject to this standard? It is a completely unreasonable measure to go off. Fans can easily be held inside the stadium, including their seats if needed. I do not buy the argument that space is required to accommodate every fan in the area.

What the hell is going on here, it all smacks of a stitch up of some sort, we hosted Newcastle the season before last, they bought a large away following, no issues were reported, hundreds of games have been played without these restrictions and no problems occurred. The decision to play the last derby on a Monday seemed very strange at the time but could have been stage managed to illicit this situation. Club safety officer Richard Stanford has bent over backwards to implement anything that SAG have requested over the last few years and had seemed to have satisfied their demands so why this now.

There's something sinister at work here and as fans we need to find out what the agenda is.

Mr Chansiri must be beside himself with frustration.

SYP are a disgrace to policing.

The police's decision to pen the United fans in outside Leppings Lane after the match was borderline demented, and now they're using that to beat the club with.

Don't get me started on the game at Brammall Lane, that situation near the petrol station gets worse every time, the police are absolutely dense.

SUFC V BCFC ... fighting outside away end

SUFC v SWFC ... bedlam 2 seasons in a row with major gate failure at away end

SUFC v CCFC .. fighting outside bramall

lane away end

SUFC v MFC .. fears of fight mean Boro fans requested to stay in ground for 10 mins

SUFC v MFC .. fighting outside away and

and inside.

Number of reports by SAG and SYP on suitability of the lane away end set up ....

Zero...

are we innocent fans at S6 no we’re not .. but we are no means the nastiest set of fans either.

public safety do me a favour .. this is a vendetta by SAG (SUFC season tickets holders within the group) SYP ( suffering 89 handover) Sheffield City council treating us unjustly and damaging local businesses in the area.
