Fitness deteriorates... depending on how serious his injury was, he could have been out of the loop for such a long time, he now has to work hard to regain it. He'll have it easier getting back to fitness than the rest of us, but anyone who works out can tell you how quickly you will lose fitness when you've been inactive for just weeks... and Lee's been gone a long time now. g-owls
Peter Beagrie said about two years ago that Kieran Lee was one of the best players outside the Premier League. One of the few things Beagrie did get right.

Blatter
Best to wait and see what the problem is instead of everybody trying to outguess each other. With no confirmation at all we’ve had A knee bang, Fatigue (after 15 minutes) Loss of general fitness level And of course recurrence of the hip injury.
shezzas left peg
I know a couple that where there yesterday said he looked in pain after about 8 mins in, but I'm sure someone mentioned him limping and the knee. Personally when my left knee which is shot gives me grief I normally start to also get pain in the hip and base of the back on the left side, so the knee problem mentioned could be becouse of the hip. Hopefully as suggested they just wanted to see how it would react under a game environment and he came off early as a precaution?? Or he just twinged the knee turning, so hell be OK in a few months would be good to have him back after Christmas for the business end of the season. Hitcat
He'll be fine. Does anyone seriously think if he was finished, the doctors and specialists would let him anywhere near the reserve team.

At the time I remember thinking “I hope they know what they are doing”

Anyway, right now is not when we need Kieran. We have Joey, Bannan, Onomah and Reach for three shirts. A little deeper into the season we may be desperate for a top quality midfielder like Kieran to be fit.
Deepcar_lights
I'd imagine it's been a dark place for him mentally as well. Hope he can find the strength to come back. Massively talented footballer.

It must be true for footballers, as it's true for the rest of us, that this creates new perspectives and priorities.

I'm afraid that once players fall into the hands of Carlos, the dressing room's more like a field hospital. Legs irons everywhere.

This injury issue has gone on for two years , it’s sort of now or never for the lad . I’m pretty sure it was one sat chance , sadly I don’t think he’s up to it anymore

gableratchet
When does his contract run out. My worry is that if he doesn't get much game time he will just be released at the end of it. Such a shame really cause on his day he's pure class.

Dot
it's interesting that when Carlos deemed KL ready he went on to make a huge difference to us as a team. but it was the wrong decision as he wasn't ready apparently Jo's has just given him a reserve game and he lasted 15 minutes.....was he ready? did Jo's make the wrong decision?
