Yes.  Did a commendable job molding some real nonentities into a midtable side.

Nice chap Gray, but despite his apparent managerial genius, he’s a number 2. Bit like Irvine.

My abiding memory of Gray is a stupid substitution 1 minute after we scored in the FACup v Charlton. Cost us the game and. QF v United.

Still not as bad as my abiding memory of Irvine; failing to beat 9 men Yeovil in League One.

Dark, dark days.

well if that's the case then your vitriol should be directed at chansiri ….if a player is crap and keeps getting played that's down to the manager so it must follow that if a manager is crap and keeps his job then that's down to the owner who employs him . …..there's only one man who's responsible for the position we find ourselves in and it aint carlos .

I can assure u carlos is a huge reason the club is in the mess its in regards total wasted funds .carlos says to chansiri sign me jones abdi fox boyd the list totals over 20 inc loans what chansiri did was trust carlos's judement ,regards there wages, contract length well thats where chansiri takes some  blame but again more poor advise he recieved ,remember he admits to knowing nothing about football he had to trust the advise he was given .even i could have done a better job ,straight away id have said why are u signing all these ageing players? And are u serious giving jones a 3 year deal ,i think most kids would know that was stupid.

He was on a lot more than that at Blackburn Rovers and Boro.

I read somewhere that he was on 60k at boro , but aparantly chansiri showed some at a steering meeting what our players earn and im sure i read our top earner was on about 40k a week that surprised me as why would rhodes take a pay cut?

chansiri signed the players wrote the cheques agreed the contracts ...….he was the one who got his advisors to get him a head coach that couldn't quite deliver what he wanted  …...he was the one that set up a committee to find the head coach players ( see the steering group report nov 2016)….he was the one who implored carlos to stay after the hudders debacle …...everything in the running of the club is down to him .it must be as he's the sole owner. .

Especially when it's much as £20k a week.

don't think im taking any blame away from chansiri he is getting so much wrong at our club its unreal , but he came with a bag of money but knew  absolutely nothing about football and the football business he had to trust advisers and his manager where an experienced owner like mandaric wouldn't have made any of these mistakes which is going to effect our club for quite some time to come ,I don't think too much blame should be given to the committee as there where the ones who got us hooper, wallace, bannan ,forestieri, hunt, wallace, joao. and only 1-2 letdowns ie Lachman, sougou . it was when carlos was given full control jan 2016 when the problems started with very poor recruitment . a more experienced owner would have let carlos go after those awful playoffs but even then most of the damage had been done by then off the pitch ,regards having a huge amount of ageing pros or injury prone crocks on long term deals .

It's almost as if he wanted to play first team football, for a club he supports, where his dad coached, in the league below his current team...

I reckon even Alan Irvine could have got us promoted with the budget and squad that Carlos had

I give more credence to that argument if our budget was in the top 6 for the division at the time.  I'll give you a clue, it wasn't.  Even Donald Trump wouldn't have the audacity to say he didn't outperform his budget.

why do you disregard what chansiri said  in front of the steering committee last year ….." carlos says what position he wants strengthening and the committee draw up a list of names who are available  and he  goes from the list"...……..you seem to have some sort of  fixation that the good players are signed by the committee and the crap ones by carlos …..I don't dispute that carlos had the final say on who we signed but that is totally different from signing who he wanted .

well the committee was disbanded around 4 months after carlos joined us ,so the committee had no input into jan 2016 and onwards signings, doyen yes ,and all the rest of the sharks what saw us as fools but it was carlos who made the final decision . if carlos was such a good manager why has he had 17 managerial jobs and got sacked from the lot of them, surely its some kind of European record? the man oozes charm and that's why he has managed to get so many jobs over the years despite his appalling record . im gona leave this argument alone now its been done to death . lets hope in time we will be competitive again in the transfer market but get in 90% right not 90% wrong.
