Popular Post Lord Snooty
"Wimbledon eh? 20 games without a win. Wednesday the best home record in English football, the best home scorers in the football league. All things point to a Wednesday win" "This is Sheffield Wednesday, Sir. Nothing should be taken for granted. Remember the other year when Bolton Wanderers hadn't won in 7 months and you were rubbing your hands in excitement at the coming, and I quote. "Annihilation" . Do you remember that game ,Sir" "You're such a harbinger of Doom, Stubbs. Nothing can go wrong today. We've too many players on form. The team now has the required volume, whatever that means, and has eventually gelled." "You said that before you travelled to Sunderland, Sir" "That was purely down to Covid" "Hmm." "IT was. There will be no such slip ups this time! Now be a bit more positive will you and crack on with the team news." "Indeed ,Sir." "We need to be bright and buzzing. Full of the joys of possibility! Carry on" "Awokoya- Mebube" "That's the spirit, Stubbs, though it's actually Akuna matata" "What is?" "The uplifting lyrics" "No, Sir. Awokoy-Mebube is Wimbledons left winger" "Oh. Oh, right. Well, uhm, lets crack on before anyone notices eh?" "This entire piece is in print though, Sir. On record for the world to see. A visual slip of the tongue captured forever. I don't think you'll be able to that easily escape the condemnation coming your way for that one." "Crikey . But look, maybe we could just pass it of a bad joke? Besides, it's the scriptwriters fault really, not ours. We're just the deliverers of the lines" "Tell that to Chris Rock, Sir...Sir where are you going?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WEDNESDAY Rumour abound that the Storey is taken badly. Ill news if so. Iorfa and Dunkley will be considered for selection. A chance for Big Dom to come back into the reckoning perhaps Berahino looks likely to start, the agreement between his National team and the club indicates that he's likely to feature. Shodipo features in the squad for the first time in 3 months. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WIMBLEDON New boss Mark Bowen may mix things up as he looks to get his young Wimbledon side back on track after an appalling run of 20 games without a win. A run which, eventually cost manager Mark Robinson his job. However with just 48 to work with the players there's very little known about what Bowen is thinking as part of his relegation dogfight strategy. One thing does seem certain is that Cosgrove and Rudoni will provide the main threat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edited April 2, 2022 by Lord Snooty 20 11
Hootsman
Thanks m'lud, great OMDT again. Everything points to another banana skin horror today. Nervous as hell. striker
Superstitions surrounding this game have made me less confident than I otherwise would have been. The opposites are; flirting with relegation....check, haven't won in 21 games....check, lost their last 5....check, sacked their manager...check, replaced him with someone I've heard of ...check, will come to defend....check. Plus, Wednesday; have been in the press for having the best home form in the country.....check, finally got back into the top 6....check. For many reasons, not as easy a game as it should be. They will focus on shape and not losing, the notorious low block incoming at Hillsborough. 0-0 wouldn't surprise me, neither would the doomsday scenario of conceding a scrappy set piece goal. Important we work the ball quickly, get crosses in, create shooting opportunities around the edge of the box and take them. If we can get a goal, their game plan done and in a contest where they have to come out and play a game of football, likely we win. Having said all of the above, watch us be 2-0 up after 20 minutes and coast to a 4-0 win. Let's hope so.
A47Owl
What's happened. No comments? Has everyone avoided a prediction due to the difference in class and form between the 2 teams? Oh well here goes. Our home form to continue and The Wombles to suffer another defeat. 5-0 to the Wednesday boys.

Pieman
Low block, dour, turgid, negative. 3-0 to the Owls. Harlee to bullet a header from a corner then one a piece for Greggs and Beres. Edited April 2, 2022 by Pieman
GermanBird
Thanks Mylord! I've been waiting for this. I'm getting really excited. For me it looks like a win today. The manager and players are well aware of the Wimbledon thread (at least based on the interviews). Didn't hear anything about Storey! Do we know more? Willie Henderson
Excellent Snoots, thank you, my Saturday's off to a good start. Today at fortress Hillsborough, our amazing home form against a team on a shocking run, this is going to be good. This is going to be a sound beating / thrashing / massacre / rout / suprising defeat* *delete where applicable

CircleSeven
Why am I nervous? Today should be the easiest of easy games where we destroy Wimbledon and make up the gap in goal difference on Oxford. But no doubt it won’t be. Unless of course it is. Ive no fôokin idea. Fingers crossed for an early Wednesday goal to steady the nerves! 3
The only way is S6
Quality omdt me lordship. Wondering if the opposites will adopt the Stanley rearguard, spoiling tactics, or the Cheltenham, hang in there as long as possible then collapse, ones! Hopefully the latter. Recently had a six, and a four, so let's have a bunch of fives today. 5-0 UTO
