Ashley to buy Derby

Surprised it took him this long, maybe just biding his time to let the price drop and competition fade away to a state of desperation by the administrators.

Just the type of distressed business he likes.

Milan employed the same tactic when purchasing us. Mandaric left it until the eleventh hour - we were a day or two away from being wound up.

Our best hope is that Att has learnt a lot about football and Dejphon hands over the chairman role to Att once he's older

He should just do it now surely it can't get any worse. Then we could make a show like when the West Ham owners son was running the women's team

Setup his business, employs 20000 people in businesses we've all probably used at some point, with £4bn annual turnover, operating under UK law as it is, but we need someone better than that.

Someone who has made their £bn's by being all nice and generous.  One of those socialist billionaires.

If you don't treat your employees like dirt, are you a socialist?

I've no love for him, but he employs people as per the laws of this land.  People travelled across Europe to work in Sport Direct warehouses.

Why people hate him I don't know.  He demands a lot for minimum wage, that's one reason he became so rich.   Minimum wage, zero hour contracts, giving people targets and measuring KPI's etc are all legal in this country.

You're not going to find many significantly wealthy people who pay more than they have to for the shop floor workers.

So yes, turn down bad billionaires and wait for the one who pays twice the minimum wage to warehouse staff.

I don’t particularly like ITK threads and comments, but I’ll do one anyway (probably my first since joining in 2004).

MA would always want Wednesday in the same league as any club he owned, because we sell out our ticket allocation 💰 He thinks our travelling fans are great.

He’d never be interested in buying Wednesday as he doesn’t view us as a big club, with the potential to make money.

I don’t agree and I wouldn’t want him as our owner, but its a shame he wouldn’t be interested in us.

It’s actually his son in law. I think his son is some kind of DJ.

Ashley had a big property just off the Chesterfield bypass towards Mansfield a while back. I think he owned the whole cul de sac.

I know a few of the City boys that have worked with Ashley. Very decent bloke by all accounts. Watch his YouTube demolition of the parliamentary committee. Ashley wouldn’t be liked here because he’s too straight/direct talking. Far too many princess pissypants in the fanbase. Newcastle are very similar. In the cold light of day he did a really good job there. Problem is, Newcastle fans think they are Juventus when they are in effect more Freybentos.

I thought he had a son called Att
