Did you NOT realise that one of those PPE contracts was given to a SPECIALIST manufacturing plant in Europe ... and that the French impounded . confiscated ... and then distributed and used OUR PPE in France, widely reported in the media at the time !!

No just the massive one that they ordered from China and had to incinerate because it wasn't fit for purpose. At least we had the bin bags they supplied though. They came in handy for wrapping the bodies in...

Just looked up the story thanks. It was in the Sun which I'll happily gloss over, although the article does confirm that although the vehicles were impounded they were eventually released with all contents still on board. Not sure why you made up the second bit?

Barton as favourite. Astonishing really.

A very clever bloke. Not your average footballer. However, he does have a mad streak.

He always has a point to prove. You never know.

You know, Chansiri is probably nutty enough to appoint Barton.

Carlos failed, he got lucky in season 1 as the underdogs with nothing to lose with a side mainly almost entirely built by his predecessor. They added flair and cought everyone unaware.

Season 2/ he cracked under the Weight of expectations and changed tack becouse we were no longer also rans. He then bottled it in the semi against a beatable Huddersfield and missed out on a final against a very average Reading side.

I don't call that success.

Can you name the teams that lost in the FA Cup semi finals the last half dozen seasons??. Nope becouse they FAILED to win it.

His object was promotion, we missed out, so hence forth he was a failure as he didn't get the job done.

Ask any professional sportsman /athlete who dosent win??

When you say "mainly" it was five out out of the first 11

Bruno Lange and Vladimir Ilic added to list overnight. It appears our advisers are throwing names at DC each night. If you look carefully there is a pattern emerging and you can see where names are being sourced.

Lange has never managed for 24 months or done 36 months as manager in last 5 years thank the Lord. It si doubtful would get work permit he equalled worst ever record at Benfica and that is some achievement in Portugal with Benfica.

Ilic has own thread and have already said I think he is by far best foreigner on list and he is aware of league although only spent 4 months managing in it. Some of our players may not be keen on him as he works players hard.

My only concern is that "working the players hard" may appeal to many supporters, I understand that.

But to fall out so badly with Troy Deeney is concerning.

Deeney is Mr Watford in the view of their fans.

He has made nearly 400 appearances and scored well over 100 goals for the club.  Many at Premier League level.

I suspect Troy Deeney also thinks he’s Mr Watford & should be an automatic choice even though he looks a stone or two overweight. Ivic was probably trying to show who’s boss.

Giver over, Deeney is in exceptional condition, he makes Paterson look like a weight watchers club host.

To be honest I have had it with freezing out as happened with us under Luhukay and Monk.

Deeney would be a great addition to our attack but he is of course backi in favour at Watford. I take a diiferent view to Mogbad who said:

Talk about choosing what you want to see... Do you work for the Daily Mail?!😆

You're correct in that, he was sacked following a dreadful run of results (2 wins in 13) equally the worst in Benfica's history.

But, the season previous to that, he won 18 out of 19 games, achieving the best start to a managerial spell in the history of the club. He won the Portuguese Premier League and equivalent of the League Cup , two competitions they didn't win the previous season, and managed to beat the big three away from home in the season, which has only been accomplished by one other Benfica manager. He also recorded the Benfica's biggest win since the 1960's, a 10-0 victory over Nacional.

Bruno Lage won't be our next manager. Because he'll have his sights set on much bigger jobs than ours. But to suggest he hasn't the credentials is lunacy.
