OK, Managers names who you think will DEFFINATELY come

Recommended Posts

Some really uninspiring names on that list.

Would hardly justify the hassle of making the change.

I don't understand the appeal of the Cowley's. If we were to go that type of route I'd rather take the risk on Ryan Lowe.

A lot of the others are the same old merry go round that would just retain the status quo of mediocrity for us.

Who sourced Wolves manager I wonder, or who decided to push the boat out with Bielsa.

If we are going to go for a fresh start we need to look wider than the usual non entities who do the rounds, otherwise it will more of the same.

Bruce was ideal & would have succeeded with us.

We need to think big & not be timid, or go for someone like Lowe who's a risk but is fresh & untainted.

In my humble opinion of course.

So they had a squad with some prem players and did worse than us but willing to give them more time than monk WTF:

That’s probably just it though, they had Prem players but those players have to be up for a gruelling Championship season. Many clubs that get relegated struggle to adapt to the Championship

and Huddersfield were no different. Add a manager who isn’t THAT well known and it’s not the best recipe. I’d say with a reasonable clean slate in terms of playing staff and no big who’s that the Cowley's would do well given time.

Go big (or an unknown world class player looking for a break) or don't change. No point getting another merry-go-round manager.

Imagine the reaction if Leeds fans wanted Holloway etc, we'd be laughing our nuts off.

Might as well give monk time than appoint cheaply.

I just think we need something different a guy who won't take an rubbish and is not afraid to call players out who don't perform. In very difficult circumstances at Charlton he has got a team promoted and with a much worst team than ours on paper kept them in the league.

He is a young manager and former player and had he played for one of the big teams in the Premiership, not dirty Leeds he probably would be managing a lot higher up the league.

But blow by blow, thats a pretty accurate description of MONK....isnt that what he has done here, called out the Players he thought were lacking? & the teams lacklustre performances and WHY?

It was LONG overdue yet we STILL get fans yearning for the return of alleged aging, injury prone Players,& ex Players....JOS was right,we the fans  ARE living in the pasty(Past obviously, but it looked too funny to change....Maybe its right..PASTY  it is than ...)

We WERE a 'Big Club',now it seems to me we are a 'BIG JOKE' certainly pundits delight at having a laugh at us..some current and ex Players allegedly laughing all the way to the Bank....(and into alleged mediocre obscurity  after leaving) lets face it, Real Madrid aint coming in for any of em..

Manager is going to need  FIVE YEARS not 1 Season, dont know if Monk will get (or want, would you?) the opportunity..My choices? from:

Monk (still think he deserves a fair chance)

Cook proven in this & lower division

Pearson.(Big Wednesday legend,and character)

Holloway (cant understand why he isnt managing)

Colin

Not in any order...

But IRRELEVANT if the Club set up remains the same....just be a different person to blame....

Bit like monk then?

Reasons Monk shouldn't have the job are the terrible performances and results, nothing more. All the other stuff you can just about get away with IF you can get results. Monk failed

NO the PLAYERS failed, again & again Experienced pro's making basic errors and giving away goals, missing 'sitters' thats not down to the Manager,NO Manager coach's players to do that.....

Good managers get the best out of their players. Bad managers get the worst out of players. The buck stops with Monk.

... or Big Nige - we’ve done ok in the past with ‘Big’ managers, maybe it’s time to go down that route again!

Totally agree, whenever we’ve been in a mess the big or no nonsense Manager turns us round. Charlton, Atkinson, Megson, was hoping for Bruce to do the same. Big Sam or Big Mick come on down.

NO mate in  the current situation,no one(maybe journo's excepted?) knows the full story of whats gone off at Hillsboro...Even on what we do know, going back to Jos time, there were major alleged issues in the dressing room.Big alleged 'ego's players being dropped, others shipped out...Big name players brought in and not performing, others 'injured' and unavailable,,,On top of that we have embargo on transfers, loans only(really) & Covid 19 season disruption.

Than we have the season delayed, players not signing contracts (and thus denying Monk again)..and all of this with the threat of relegation and a points deduction hanging over the club.FINALLY we have players many of whom were coming to the end of their contracts & knowing the gravy train had stopped.

What Manager realistically could be expected to get results with all of those factors? The boil needed lancing the players simply didnt have the bottle to compete in my view.Didnt have it against Hull, same against Huddersfield, and didnt have it again now.....
