August fixtures....

Recommended Posts

Hopefully, with doing the core of our business early doors, we don’t have the so-so start we had last season. We got some decent results but there was no method or rhythm to how we played and that got found out very quickly.

That said. It’s a bloody awful set of fixtures to start with and I hope we don’t have fans on the clubs back too quickly.

As difficult as they are they’re still all totally winnable.

Two things from the fixtures only 2 league games in November but 6 in October, presumably there will be at least the 1st Round of the fa cup.

Then Derby last game of the season, maybe its fate that we relegated them like they did us.😁😁

They're nothing to worry about next season, even if they finally get the ownership sorted I think the season will come too soon.

Tend to agree.

Even if all their issues are sorted tomorrow (which they wont be) they basically have 5 weeks to build virtually an entire squad. Other clubs who've been in similar positions in recent years have really struggled early-season. For all the nice things said about the team last season they actually ended it very poorly, losing 9 of their last 14 games.

They'll be a big pull if they can sort themselves out before the transfer window shuts, but by then you'd imagine the best players will already have moved elsewhere.

As things stand.  Anybody expecting Derby to start the season are being wildly optimistic.  If by any chance they are, they will not be competitive.  The EFL would have pulled the rug on any other club by now.
