August fixtures....

Recommended Posts

Shame there’s no late summer mid week home game this time.

always enjoyed the short sleeves, light evening/game under lights atmosphere at Hillsborough, seems to have a special atmosphere

Why?

When the fixtures are compiled they try to avoid 'big' games on certain dates, first game, boxing day, last day etc. I'd have thought Wednesday Derby might have fallen into this bracket in League One but apparently not. I can't recall playing them last day in the Championship before but I may be wrong.

I think its a tough start.

But if we are to be a top two side it needs to be a minimum 12 points from 6 games!

A few more signings then no excuses!

with there been at least 3 away days on a tues night there will always be ones getting moved what most would prefer on a saturday , morecambe on a tues night is the biggest disappointment  enjoyed last seasons day out tues night in september it wont be happening for us , peterborough depending on train situation is still very possible , bristol rovers no chance , fleetwood away boxing day no trains might be tricky .

So whats your general thoughts on your fixtures? I must admit it was nice to see the likes of The Boro, Huddersfield, Burnley and Watford on our list of fixtures for a nice change.

I will hand on heart be looking out for your results this season and I really do hope yous come up.  You are far too big for that sodding league
