Mansfield Town V Wednesday - EFL Trophy OMDT

Recommended Posts

Yeah, it looks like a 4-2-3-1.

----------Wing------Dele-Bashiru---------

Corbeanu-------Berahino---------Sow

-------------------Kamberi----------------------

At least he's playing the players in, vaguely, their best positions...although I don't like Wing in the double pivot.

Confused, as thought we had to have 4 starters from the last match, but only got 3.

Based on last competitive match, which considering we lost at home to Oxford, we could argue on a technicality.

Mansfield to be made to look like Boysfield by the end of the game.

The word obliterated doesn't get used enough in the English language, but it'll be the only word spoken for weeks after tonight.

It's over for them, the beginning of the end, there'll be more stags heads hanging in the homes of Sheffielders than are in wooden lodges in Colorado by the morning.

This one is for Forestieri.  This is for justice.

No, bit more complicated than that.

At least 4 players need to have started the last game (or the next one) OR be in the top 10 most starts of the season.

An additional criteria is that they can have at least 40 first team appearances in their career which starters like Hunt, Berahino and Kamberi reach easily.

EFL rules state that league clubs must field at least four 'qualifying outfielders' in each game of the competition to preserve its integrity.

'Qualifying outfielders' are defined as: players who started the previous first team game or that will start the next first-team game; players that have made at least 40 first-team career appearances; players on loan from Premier League clubs; players that are among the ten highest first-team appearance-makers this season.

Clubs who do not play by the rules risk a £5,000 fine being handed down.

We're ok as Hunt, Dunkley, Wing, Johnson and Corbeanu qualify.
