That ‘shoulder injury’ looking more suspect by the minute..

and if that turns out to be false, won’t earn Thompson any grace from fans for deceiving them.

Pray tell?

It's pretty factual.

Liam Shaw has been with the club for over 10 years, we've literally put years of development into him, we put it into George Hirst , Matt Penney has been here since he was eight - what of that isn't "years of development" I'm sure there are others than have been at the club since 8/9 years old

The fact is the facilities might be poo and the infrastructure terrible, but we're starting to produce players and all the years of development shouldn't be given away for peanuts.

The pathetic rehiring of Hutchinson now explained

Don't think they necessarily need to be linked. Shaw if available could have played instead of JP which is where i think he would be best, with a little license to get up and down.

Ultimately, if Shaw's had his head turned, I can't blame him. Your career can very quickly disappear at 19, if you get offered a move to a club in a far better position, with more money on the table, you're gonna take it.

Although, he'd get plenty of game time with us in League 1 next season if he stayed.

We would only ruin him.

Honestly, I'd rather see the lad move elsewhere and thrive than be dragged down into the doldrums with us.

This is not a club where a young player is going to thrive right now.

A crap owner, no manager, by and large useless senior players.

Go to Celtic, develop as a player, win a few things and fulfill your potential.

Jesus wept, this is how truly sh it we have become. We even f**k up dragging out the extension of a promising young’uns new contract nowadays.

At least with George Hirst it took months and months and goals galore, with Liam Shaw it’s been 2 good appearances  and he’s out of the door before the months out.

He’s definitely got potential but let’s see how he performs over the course of a season (well it looks like we won’t be able to in the championship) but consistency is key

Could turn out to be another Jordan Thorniley/George Hirst...some good early games but then prooved not to be good enough for championship level.

without sounding bitter, lets hope for our case it’s the same with Shaw. In which case it wouldn’t be as big a loss as what it would appear now.

So our plan to survive is to have a caretaker manager in charge of a team who can all leave in the summer...

To be fair we'll probably re-sign all those a couple of months after they leave.......that's the long term plan!!!

I know the rumoured new owners want a clean slate but that's taking it to the extreme

100% this. It really is a shambolic situation. If players know they are going to leave/not sign a new deal there is no chance they will fight and give everything they have for the club. We are down imo, even with so many games to go.
