Owlinmad
The pace of Des Walker. The power of David Hirst. The aerial ability of Lee Chapman. The vision of John Sheridan. The stamina of Carlton Palmer. The finishing prowess of Paul Warhurst. The trickery of Terry Curran. The heart of Mick Lyons. The dependability of Number 2.
Chris Apolon
Paterson does the role Rhodes was signed to do. But better.

But for me goals are goals. He’s scoring them, and he’s scoring for us. He plays with heart. He’s unconventional and sometimes that gives you an edge. If he is going to score even if he’s having a ‘shocker’ then even better! Totally agree But if his goals dry up he will get pelters with performances like today’s , and that was against a team two divisions below us

And that's why you pay many more millions for a goal scorer than you do a stopper. Hardest job on the pitch scoring goals and Patterson's timing and positioning is spot on.

But while it’s an ‘if’ I’m not going to get into the preemptive pelting! That’s not even glass half empty thinking. It’s ‘what if someone comes and tips half my glass away’ thinking. If the goals do dry up and he’s not helping the team then let the pelters fly. Im just happy we are winning and am not going to worry about the futures potential losses while we are
Sefton owl
The new big dave IMO. Some players aren’t technically gifted but he’s definitely got something about him and scores important goals.
beano
Many fans have idolised goal shy attackers in recent years because they try hard and run about. We now have an attacker who scores goals but doesn't chase the ball all over the pitch and he gets put down by some fans. Staggering. I know which I would rather have. trumbullowl
Paterson stayed behind Shaw and pointed exactly where he wanted the ball. I reckon the Exeter defender didn't know the offside rule.
Manwë
Will probably be sold in the window when the first £20m bid comes in. Sad but true, we'd have to accept it due to FFP.
