I will NEVER, EVER speak up to defend the owner again

I get not being a massive fan of Pulis.

I'm not tbh. Don't overly care for his football, nor the man personally.

But I know he's a much, much better manager than the previous incumbent and he will likely get us competing at the right end of the table in time.

Some of the reactions, hissy fits and toy chucking have been really embarrassing imo.

If people don't get exactly what they want then they just lose their minds.

Nobody is losing their minds. We’re chatting about Wednesday appointing a widely reviled manager on a football forum.

Chatting about a football club which has seen fans who’ve bought and paid for tickets not bothering to turn up because of how dreadful an experience it’s been going to Hillsborough. It’s not about hissy fits or toy chucking it’s about the chance to change course or plough on.

I think it’s a bit of a shame we’ve appointed this bloke. But he won’t care a jot about what we think - especially while fans are excluded - and neither will Chansiri. It’s all knockabout stuff that will impact neither of them.

Go on social media and read some of the threads on here and then come back and tell me people aren't acting like petulant children.

What I find interesting is that Att hasn’t put anything on his social media about this appointment. He usually would. Hmmm.

Probably because some ******** fans will message him some abuse.

I’d rather not. Wednesday Twitter threads  are sometimes quite funny - beyond the abuse - FB is a car crash.

Believe me, if Pulis gets us to safety this season and has us in the top 3 next season, people won’t give a monkey’s about the style of football. I’m prepared to give him a chance and I think most Wednesdayites will do the same once all the fuss dies down.

Wish I had a Maserati..bit risky not knowing what will be happening but thought fooook it.. going to get one, always wanted one..

Our lass told me to stfu and use your brain for a change. Didn't like that response, so I stamped me feet squeemed and squeemed in Morrisons...she just took no notice and went and bought a fooookin  Aygo. Told her i ain't driving it.

Anyhow that's it, final straw.

Oops wrong thread..

Fair enough. I get why people think we’d have gone down under Monk. Personally I think he’d have kept us up but understand those that don’t. What I don’t get is, given that we only have a 2 point deficit to make up and given that we should really be 4 points safe, why Pulis is being painted as the only manager capable of keeping us. We don’t need a relegation avoiding expert. Any decent manager would keep us up. We’re one win away.

I just don't think DC is prepared to risk any concept of being relegated mate.

Entertaining football - do we really have the players for that? I really don't think so..  what we have is bang average at best. We lost three important players and immediately lose three games that would have saved Monk's job.

What I'm trying to see as positive is that maybe we'll see Bannan utilized in some other way than him lurking with the centre halves every now and then, and maybe seeing more round pegs in round holes. Chances are that the free transfer market will be searched for that no. 9 that we still are missing.

I have always previously stood up for the owner. I always felt he was a decent, honourable man, from a different culture whose motives and intentions are good and in the interests of SWFC. I still do in fact.

I felt he was a little out of his depth and ill-advised  by the parasitic agents and advisors circling the club and taking advantage of his naivety but would learn from his mistakes and slowly but surely take our club forward.

However, two things that leaders must have to succeed are good judgement and emotional intelligence. Now it would seem that the owner has allowed Paixao to exploit our club once again by foistering another one of his cronies upon us, no doubt for his (and Pulis’) personal benefit but to the detriment of our club. A monumental lack of judgement.

In addition, the owner has failed to recognise that, after CC’s final season followed by Jos & Monk our supporters have endured arguably the worst value for money product in the entire league and we are fed up and disillusioned. To appoint Pulis in this context shows an unbelievable lack of emotional intelligence

For me it’s unforgivable and indefensible and I now wish the owner would sell up and leave before he destroys the club I have loved, supported and financially contributed to for 40 years.

If Pulis gets us to the promised land will you go back to defending DC?
