A Nightmare on Jihadi John Street

Or............................................................... Thinking waaaaaaaaaaaaay outside the box here

Because they are both in trouble really.

McCabe and Poundland Prince get together, they work out a deal,  whereby McCabe now offers him a reasonable price (which the belllend should have done in the first place) and buys the club, then sells to the septics for profit.

They then split it however they want.

If they could agree on it

His most recent doom dredging in the weekly press conferences have been so obvious.

Others asking Bullen about Tactics, whether he needs another coach to help etc . If he wanted the job full time...

Doom went a different angle.  "How is Morgan Fox , is he really down and depressed, does he feel like not bothering any more? Does he fell totally unloved and like he needs to escape Sheffield, and maybe even life itself?"

Monk takes over.

They're all "How are you finding the club? Are you looking forward to the challenge?"

Doom weighs in again "How is Forestieri with his ban news, is he really depressed and despondent, does he wistfully wonder if it's all worthwhile or even worth bothering with at all?"

Basically Dom is the Shame Wizard

If the prince can raise the cash, which you’d think is doable, then he is now in position to buy the club outright at about 40m under market value based on the valuations made for the hearing.

If it was a house then you’d tidy it up a bit and flip it.

I agree, but I think £40m might be on the low side.

How much did Derby sell Pride Park for? Did it include their academy site?

Ditto for Hillsborough / Middlewood.

Prince might get "the club" cheap, but he won't get the infrastructure (ground, academy, hotel) cheap. When prospective investors look into buying, what proportion of the cost is "the club", the bit that Prince has picked up cheap? So whilst he will get the entire club at a knock down price overall, I doubt there'll be scope for a mega bucks, mega profit, quick deal.

£40m is what he’ll save on the top end of the lowest valuation and what McCabe will lose out on if you value what he pays as £60m against the valuation of £105m (I think) for the court case.

So this season really could be make or break for them BlaVdes.

If McCabe appeals then this could rumble on. They could both be way off in their valuation of the stadium so that could all come down to some independent body to decide... again taking more time.

This could hopefully rumble on ....Heres hoping that they end up back in the championship with ongoing disputes about their assets while potential investors look elsewhere. Being a Premier League club or a Championship club next season could make a real big difference.

Promble being, as someone else alluded to earlier in the thread, they always seem to land on their feet somehow.

Exactly, there appears to be some poor sides in the prem this season, and I can see them picking up points. It is however very early days. Let's hope they start becoming adrift in that bottom 3 as others pick up points, but too early to call anything.

They just lost at home to one of the said poor teams.

So hopefully that's a good sign (For us)

Pretty laughable.

Probably the biggest story of the year so far (in terms of Sheffield, certainly on the sports side) and yet it's all "nothing to see here".

Just brush it under the carpet and move on etc.

Never used to buy into the whole media bias thing, yet you can't help but fail to notice the difference in approach/tone towards us/Dem Blades from The Stir, Radio Sheffield etc.

The narrative for us is we are basket case club, always in a state of chaos, run by a lunatic foreign owner.

United are portrayed as the plucky underdog, a model club who do things in the "right" way.

What has been laid bare in the last few days is that United have in fact been one of the worst run clubs in England for the last few years. A complete sh*tshow from top to bottom.

Except they’ve not been badly ran (understatement) in the only area that 90% of fans actually care about; the results of the first team in a 46 game league season.

Only the likes of Pep, Klopp, Potch etc have won more league games in this country than Wilder since the start of the 16/17 season.  Daft comparison I know but it highlights just how well they’ve done under Wilder.

Which if anything, makes Wilder’s results there all that more bizarrely impressive given the disruption of the ownership issues these last couple of years.  He’s well and truly got them out of jail.  It’s actually sickening that they’ve landed so lucky with him.

In terms of the local media, I do agree to an extent with your post.

But, well... despite everything, they’ve been a huge success story on the pitch.  So of course the local media have chosen to focus on the pigs’ unexpected rise up through the divisions, rather than the boardroom shenanigans over the last three years.  As that’s what 90% of pig fans want to hear/read about.  And it keeps the press’ relationship with the club sweet.

If United were still in the Championship the Prince would never have been able to scramble enough money together to pay McCabe £5m for the club, never mind the rest of the assets.

So basically, them being promoted to the Premier League last season has completely screwed McCabe, and possibly even the club in the long-term.

What a twist lol

I think pretty much everyone has stated that Wilder has papered over some massive cracks.

Still find the difference in coverage irksome.

Best case scenario

  • Sack Wilder
  • Get relegated
  • Can't agree a price for the stadium so move to Chezzie
  • MCabe sells Bramall Lane to a local pig farmer for re-development

Where's our resident little piggies these days?

Thought they'd be on here, rubbing it in that they're in the league above and taking the Michael about us selling our ground seeing as they're such a well run club.

Ah, they only post on here if they are in the same division as us and doing better than us.

I wouldn’t worry.
