McCabe has to sell the club for a pittance. Prince has to buy the ground, but he has no personal money to do so. Mutual shafting. The prince would ony need personal money if he was buying the ground personally. Surely he would buy it through the club which would mean they get their asset back but in order to do so would spunk the sky money and incur further borrowings? TrickyTrev Posted September 19, 2019 Share Posted September 19, 2019 Ideal scenario for me would be it appears that the Prince buys the ground only to find out some months later he actually borrowed the money from an “associate” due to the fact that he hasn’t got a pot to p**s in. The Prince can’t pay him back, the “associate” technically owns the ground and decides to knock it down to make way for student flats.
