matthefish2002
Think with the team doing well last season and prices being slightly more reasonable last few months of the season the edge was taken off the ticket price debate for me. Expectation is higher this season so if team hits a bad run ticket prices might be a big issue next season. Overall Chansiri has done well for Wednesday but wont take very much for the shine to come off.

0wl18
He has to match the obscene pricing structure with quality signings simple as that. Yes we had a good season last year, thats not an excuse to rip the fans off. If the first game is anything to go by we're likely to see far more high category games this season which does price a lot of people out. Some people have the luxury of being in a position where they can own a season ticket, many people simply can't, this doesn't make them any less of a fan yet they're being punished for not buying. The aveage cost of an adult ticket at middlesbrough last season was £29. The average price of sitting on the Kop is £32, the north average is £35 the south is £38. Obviosuly these prices are subject to change depending on which categories we get throughout the season however, it shows me DC simply doesn't care about the fanbase as a whole, he only wants the season ticket money which ia guarenteed. Mr Farrell
It is what it is. It's clear the Club just don't understand the demographic of walk up fans. We'll average 26k this season. Could have been nearer 29k with a sensible approach. Looks like a new 30k stadium is the way forward as highly unlikely we'll ever fill this one again. The average price on the kop last season was £31.17 or £27.87 for members (including the £30). North Stand £33.78....£30.35, and South Stand £36.43....£32.87. i doubt season average price will be much different this year.

SiJ
Seems like a missed opportunity to me. I wasn't expecting the prices to change all that much from last season, but was hoping the club might have tweaked things in order to address the clear concerns that some people had. The membership going up by £20 just doesn't make good reading imho, no matter which way people try to spin it. We will get good attendances next year (nearly 20K season ticket holders?), but we would have been averaging in the high - 20s, as opposed to around 24 - 26k. The best team we've had in a generation, yet many fans are being priced out of seeing them. Such is the way with football.

If you went to 15 games about £28.60 If you went to 10 games about £29.60 If you went to 6 games about £31.60 add about £2.50 for the North and £5 for the South. roughly speaking, as some games didn't give you a discount and were priced differently etc etc. The point is that members don't go to all 23 games, otherwise they'd have a season ticket... Orlando_Trustful
Ridiculous prices, I didn't expect anything else. I bought an early bird season ticket on the Kop for just over £300 in January. I won't be at every game but it is easily worth it, even if I miss half it still works out good value.
bigash_swfc
Just for comparison, season ticket prices for Premier League Football vs. Championship Football Middlesborough, best season ticket - £570 Burnley, best season ticket - £580 Hull, best season ticket - N/A - They do a membership scheme, £24 per member, with a cut off date goes to £84 Our best season ticket on South Stand - £705 *All current prices, no doubt all teams had early bird offers Edited July 15, 2016 by bigash_swfc
casbahowl
£40 far too much .................. £20 ok ..................................... The difference being Wembley had the potential to change the course of the clubs history, it was an "i was there" moment and thanks to the efforts of all the Wednesday fans will be talked about for years. If only there was that kind of demand for tickets at Hillsborough eh.
owlinexile
Oh FFS. People know full well that a one-off trip to Wembley is not the same as a regular saturday afternoon hobby. It's a ridiculous comparison. You might pay £60 for tickets to see Les Mis at the West End but that doesn't mean you'll pay that much to see Ghostbusters at the local Vue... KivoOwl
£42 to see second rate football - £42! £42 to sit on the Kop - utterly reprehensible. 'Chansiri will learn' they said - he hasn't, he's made it more unattainable than ever before. No excuses whatsoever. Disgraceful.

A very derisory way to describe our football ,which was brilliant last season. Something you'd hear from a pig Your language is over the top and attention seeking. You banged on all last season?> Did you do anything about it? What prices would you set given your knowledge on the subject?

Second rate football is playing football in the Championship and the Premier League, I'd argue in English football it's a fair description. And the prices for the Arsenal game should be the general prices set as they represent similar category A prices to Brighton (A much richer area of the country) with category B going 24-26-28 for the games in the week and less attractive games like Burton Albion. Limited confusion, fair prices which doesn't price out the majority of people who are on low paid work.
