Paterson in to help defend set plays but we are looking light there.

 

Dele Bashiru is supposedly fasting so that may be why he isn’t playing again.

Strange team selection but it's bottom of the league Crewe. We shouldn't really need to rely on the defence.

 

Then again, I'm not sure why we're playing Johnson at CB when we have Dunkley and Gibson available and on the bench.

The only thing I can assume with that lineup is the assumption that we'll absolutely run riot in the first half, then bring some defensive options on in the second.

Not crazy on the lineup. Think it’s a little arrogant and sort of comes across that we don’t value Crewe.
 

Looks very unbalanced. Bannan will have to play deeper to accompany Paterson in the team. Johnson to CB when we have 2 CB’s on the bench to fit in NML who plays LWB and we will lose the balance because he will naturally drift inside onto his stronger foot, I love inverted wingers but certainly not inverted wing backs.

It's all when and good Moore saying every game is difficult etc etc, but then he picks a team which screams we won't be doing much defending today. I have to say, I don't like it, the first objective should always be to keep it tight at the back.

It does, expected Dunkley to start but obviously not able so soon after Saturday given his lengthy injury layoff. 

 

Very short of CB's again so needs must I suppose. Although if fit enough to be on the bench, why not start?
