Popular Post Lord Snooty
"Sir, what are you doing?" "I've just seen the stats Stubbs, the stats" "What stats,Sir" "Kieran Lee! Two assists and a goal...in a week! You know what this means don't you? The rule of the ex. Thats what. The rule of the ex. Bound to score. You can stake your house on it." "Well I'm sure you have nothing to worry about ,Sir. After all, he won't be able to do anything. You told me last week that Barry Bannan is the best midfield player in the league and that Dennis Adeniran would be in the championship in 18 months, with or without Wednesday" "Yes, yes, you're right. I'm worrying for nothing. I must be confident!" "Indeed, Sir. Besides; it would just be so much more typically Wednesday for it to be Kachunga that had a blinder and blasted a couple of goals causing an absolute meltdown" "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" LEAGUE ONE 3:00PM HILLSBOROUGH ---------------WEDNESDAY---------------- You have got to earn the right to get promoted. You don't get given it to you on your lap. There is a lot of hard work ahead. A lot of cohestion and togetherness. When I was a player, I managed to achieve five promotions. It was never easily given to us. We have to earn what we do moving forward. Stay with us. We are all as one. We knew coming into this season that there would be a few bumps in the road. Keep your passionate support for the team going. The players and myself love and respect every single one of the Wednesday fans. They will be like the 12th man for us. I am really looking forward to seeing them all tomorrow. I am looking forward to being in that passionate atmosphere at Hillsborough tomorrow. Myself and the players need you. You can drive us over the line to help us get those three points. This was always going to be a solid season. Darren Moore --------------- BOLTON ---------------- Around 3,000 Bolton supporters are currently set to make the trip over the Pennines to Hillsborough, where the Whites have not won on their last three visits. Ian Evatt’s men enter the game on the back of a 4-1 win against Liverpool Under-21s in the Papa John’s Trophy on Tuesday night. The Whites sit seventh in the league table and could climb into the play-off places with a win against the Owls. Gethin Jones is available after missing Tuesday night’s game with a dead leg suffered in the win against Shrewsbury, while Xavier Amaechi, Andrew Tutte and Liam Edwards remain sidelined. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Head-to-head Wanderers have faced the Owls 123 times in their history, with a record of 41 wins, 28 draws and 54 defeats The Whites’ last win in the fixture came in October 2017 when Sammy Ameobi and a Sam Hutchinson own goal handed them a 2-1 victory Last meeting The Owls ran out 2-0 winners when the sides last met back in March 2019 thanks to goals from Steven Fletcher and Rolando Aarons. Flat Owl
Kieran Lee will boss the midfield today in a performance reminiscent of the game that Shez had on his first return after leaving us for pastures new…. ..and there will be absolutely nothing we can do about it because he is still that good. The game will be played at Keiran Lees tempo.
Neon Nick
2 - 0, Wednesday, Corbeanu and Paterson, if either play.

We seem to be regressing if you ask me. Where's the solidity gone at the back? First 4 or 5 games I was wondering were teams were going to score against us. Since the Plymouth debacle we look fragile..... Mainly our own doing pissïng about with it at the back. UTO

Hootsman
Oh Lordy. The dearly beloved Kieren Lee returns. I want to predict a 2-0 win for us but I fear that the Bolton revival will continue and that we'll get a draw at best. This will be followed by lots of Moore out shanangans on here and a generally depressing Sunday. I work with two Bolton fans so Monday might be even worse ... and I am one of the positive ones on here! So come on Wednesday, make this a weekend to remember for all the right reasons, give those Lancastrians a spanking and make us proud x
new zealand owl
Bad feeling about today, I feel if we do win then it will be smash and grab rather than a convincing performance. Another 1-2. theo for us
SwellOwl
I think it is brilliant to see Lee return to form, delighted for him. HOWEVER, just not today. Please! Tough game today… COME ON WEDNESDAY!!!
KcebSWFC11
Today it’s time for everything to fall into place. Even with some tired minds & some dodgy weather, we will make Bolton suffer today. 4-0 to the owls. Hat-trick for Berahino
WalthamOwl
Brilliant OP as always. Got to get the 3 points today, although I fear Lee and Kachunga will have the game of their lives. Another defeat and pathetic performance and I really think it’s time that Chansiri considered Moore’s position. Come on Wednesday! Please just get the 3 points! airborne_rat_of_s6
Can’t see us getting anything from this. Yet to see anything approaching 45 minutes not 90 of dominant play from this lot. DM does not seem to have a clue what he is doing and the mental fragility is really pathetic. How many points lost so far in the latter stages of games? How many turgid performances where we look devoid of ideas and are scared of the ball. No identity or graft. DM out.
Willie Henderson
Another jittery Saturday, my gut tells me this will be a bad day. But then again my gut told me to eat that dodgy pork pie. Play well Keiren, but not too well. Come on Wednesday! Suprise us all.
