Of the clubs that were initially linked Swansea have signed Gibbs-White and we have signed Brown You would have thought at least Swansea would have been a better option than Huddersfield. To be fair to Windass he is quite versatile and can play as a striker, attacking midfield or even from the left. I wasn’t overly fussed on Windass in terms of performance, although he was the best player on the pitch against QPR. But it’s a new direction for the club. He scored 7 in 24 across 2 clubs in an injury hit season. Be interesting to see what he can do fully fit. He sort of is a replacement for Forestieri, no way is he as good as 2015-2017 Forestieri but many were clamouring for us to keep him despite scoring 2 in 17. He’s 4 years younger and probably on 1/3 of the money Forestieri is on and he’s 4 years younger and costing £500k.
