Again, this rather proves my point We need to do our homework, it’s not difficult

C'mon, we were embargoed, he was potentially a good freebie Bruce had worked with before & won promotion. It wasn't a lack of due diligence on the player. Bruce knew him inside out. It hasn't worked out for him since the managerial changes.

Obviously a good player few years ago. However, since he’s joined us he has been a liability and been at fault for at least 3 penalties. Trying the youngster on Saturday shows he is not in the plans.

Strong and bold move by Monk.

A very harsh but telling statement by GM.

Perhaps a bit tongue in cheek . No love lost between them it seems.

Thats a made up sarcastic tweet.

There is no doubt that so far he has been poor.

Will be a real blow to his confidence being rejected after less than 6 months in the job.

No problem with us taking early action and informing him that if he can find a new club he can leave but it should have been kept between the player and the club.

Monk's got a decent onion on his shoulders. Knows which end of the pitch we're weakest in (and Fletchers injury hammers home the point further)

The debut of the boy Urhoghide was clearly Monk making sure he'd got someone in the locker ready to compete with Palmer for the slot before he made the decision.

Odubajo will be on more lira than a lad in the U23's .....it's a no brainer.  - That money can be freed up to sign a loan player of decent quality at the top end of the attack.

Monk knows that this might well end up being a shiite or bust season and he's showing he means business.

I for one applaud him.

Bravo

Agreed.. The bloke has to find employment.. The club statement will make it a lot harder for him and potentially stops the club from getting a few hundred grand back.  It would have been far better for both parties to just transfer list him and keep quiet.

What club statement?

Had high hopes for Odubajo but he's been poor for the most part.  Not all transfers work but credit to Monk, he's done something that the club has failed to do since DC arrived.

I hope he finds a new club but for us I hope Palmer pulls his finger out & performs to last seasons standards rather than those of the last few weeks.
