Mountain Owl
Its quite simply against the law. If you didnt have this rule fans would be running on and off the pitch all the time.

You get 10 prats on the pitch, it then has a knock on effect and you see 200 very quickly, the 190 who didn't have enough will to do so in the first place now have an excuse. One person throws a punch? Suddenly everything escalates. Anyone saying this law isn't correct has a screw loose.

You are basically saying it's right to break the law if someone doesn't get hurt. I bet you text and drive too, but no harm done as long as you don't crash, eh? Prat. Who’s this whopper and how does he get away with this attitude? You wouldn’t speak to someone like that in person so don’t do it on here, soft lad. 11
TrickyTrev
The club have to be seen to be doing something for the benefit of the EFL. Realistically though it’s only the snowflakes and kill joys who’ve been moaning about this. 5

Why now? 1 minute ago, Salmonbones said: One person throws a punch? Suddenly everything escalates Agreed. If a fan runs on the pitch, the next is suicide vests surely?

Or are you just here to insult people? Soft lass. Edited December 12, 2021 by Salmonbones

areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Fans know the rules; if they want to risk a ban by running onto the pitch, then so be it. 2

Costello 77
Shame we weren't in possession. First time we've overloaded an opposition defence in ages.

We are obviously not one of their favourites. Should be easy enough to identify them, if need be. Agree with this. as the club needed to be seen to do something. A warning is all that's needed at this point, so people please take note. 2
Daavies;
Just about as an irrational decision the leadership at our club would make. Think of everything a well functioning boardroom would decide to do on every situation, then think of the polar opposite and you will likely find what ours will do. Pathetic. 2
owls maniac
Whilst I appreciate the club have to be seen to be taking a tough stance, any banning orders for something like this would be totally hysterical. 2 1

If I speed and am caught, that's a fair cop, just the same as any fans who get caught running onto the field of play. Once you're caught, you simply have to accept whatever sanctions apply to each incident. It's no good saying, 'but others speed when you're not looking, officer'. The only way to ensure you never get banned for entering the field of play is to never enter the field of play. 7

Feel sorry for any fan about to get their collar felt for running a few metres on a field of grass belonging to a private company. Maybe the club have been put in a position where they need to be seen to be reacting. 3

Popular Post Kopparberg
The EFL won’t want fans of every club doing this whenever a goal is scored. If a group of opposition fans did it at Hillsborough you’d get home fans getting riled up and wanting to go and drag them off (like when Palace relegated us). Saying that, the statement is probably enough…. Basically “you had a good day, you had too much beer, keep of the pitch next time, we mean it”. 10

Look back at the exchangers between myself and Salmonbones, he challenged me, then failed to respond when I challenged back. I won't call him a hypocrite just yet. Nor I am saying that if you are caught then you should be let off, having said that I do think the law in this case is to harsh and it should just be a civil offence.
