How does a stand go from being ok last week to a structural danger this week?

Surely it’s a gradual process they must have been aware of?

I doubt they do weekly inspections. Probably have to get the ground surveyed annually at most.

There was an old dear on football heaven last night reminiscing.

Been going in there since 1958.

I'll be honest, I thought I felt a tear streak down the old cheek at one point.

Why were you feeling her cheek?

As per title.

Just had a call from a mate who is a ST holder in the wooden stand where the directors box is.

Got an email this morning saying due to structural failures the stand is now closed.

Offered  a seat in a different stand or pro rata compensation.

What about all the wooden v****a's are they closed too 🙂

Looks like bit of intrique.

Barnsley Met .Council say it passed it's inspection only a month ago..Twitter a few minutes back

Who has condemned the stand as the council issue the safety certificate to the club. so unless something has happened in last month that is exceptional like the structure has been struck or something along those lines, or as part of a planned inspection it has failed then its a very strange situation
