Tough one, few candidates.

Gone for Bannan in the end for that goal. So much better once we pushed him forward after Byers came on.

Honorable mention for the work rate and off the ball movement of Kamberi. He'd be a real asset in a 4-4-2.

I voted Kamberi but didn’t expect him to take the vote, especially after Bannans goal but to say he’s probably been brought in to be back up for Gregory, he’s going to be hard to drop if he plays like that every game..lot of things to work on but all in all a good display today.

He was excellent. Movement and especially work rate which he maintained even though he wasn’t getting the kind of service his play deserved. With a more advanced Bannan, which we saw when Byers came on he’d get more of the kind of ball he’d thrive on. Looks like a great bit of business, if he’d scored that header it would have rounded off a great afternoon for him.

Went with Bannan. I thought it was a good collective performance by the team. I was hoping for three points but was more interested in an improvement in attack which is what we got and the two goals were rewards for the effort.

We looked better when Byers came on. I think we need to have Byers or Luongo in the midfield, that way it will push Bannan up the pitch a little more.

Strange how perceptions vary. I thought Adeniran was quiet most of the game, took the goal well though.

Indeed. I gave him MoM based upon the ground he covered, the spaces he filled and his “break up” play - I had actually forgotten that he’d scored. He appears to be that type of player that brings the “safety” that allows others to express themselves.

Poor first half, but very good in the second. Never a penalty in a million years!

Peacock-Farrell 7 so confident. Did he touch the penalty

Hunt 6 improved after a poor first half

Iorfa 8 class

Hutchinson 8 solid as a rock

Palmer 6 ok but just hate that he has no left foot. Slows us down

Bannan 8 wonderful goal. Better when Byers came on

Adeniran 6 thought he was anonymous. Extra point for the goal

Wing 7 better in second half. Almost scored

Green 6 almost scored but seems to be playing with no confidence. Needs benching

Johnson 6 ok but seems to be a full back to me

Kamberi 6 some good touches but an awful miss

Gregory 7 like him. Puts himself about. Fans will love him

Brown 7 did well. Got an assist

Byers 7 looks a good player

Was critical of Moore earlier but the first time in a long time, he got his subs spot on. Onwards and upwards!

Adeniran anonymous?  Oh my.

Bannan is a cut above at this level.  MOTM in my opinion.

I was impressed with Byers when he came on. Him and Bannan had a good understanding and I thought we looked more solid and creative.

Kamberi’s work rate was good and our goalie did well, although I am not a fan of this tikka takka from the back.  Like someone else said, I think against the better teams playing the high press we could make a few mistakes and concede a few goals.  Good performance by all on the whole and I am delighted with the result.

Let’s try and get another good result against Fleetwood on Tuesday.  Players need to stay grounded.  Every game is a potential banana skin.

People saying adeniran was anonymous…did you watch the game?? He covered every blade of grass and was always there to break up their possession!! Did most of the donkey work that we’ve essentially missed since Semedo left.

The lad will be a major asset this season.

he got my vote

Yes, up until his goal, he wasn’t in the game at all. Unlike against Charlton and Udders where he was picking the ball up in tight areas and winning us free kicks high up the pitch. Just didn’t see any of that today. Not meant as a criticism, more an observation. Good on him for getting the goal. He even admits in his own interview that he didn’t particularly play that well.

no he wasn’t anonymous…he did the work others didn’t want to do. I thought he was really good to be fair, covered ground & broke up play on a number of occasions. Can’t really fault him!!

Got up at 3am to watch this un.

Obvs a work in progress - don't think the 3 of Adeniran, Bannan and Wing quite works.  Would love to see Bannan in the advanced role with either Byers and Luongo or Adeniran for the destroyer role.  Adeniran just has more legs at the moment as Luongo works his way back up to full fitness.

There are resemblences of our 2012 team with this lot.  Byers reminds me a lot of Chris Lines before he got injured, technical, good passer, keeps it moving, can put his foot in when needed.  Palmer at LB will give us defensive solidity but stifle our flow down that wing, something to pursue away to more dangerous teams but at home we should be playing Brown at LB to make us more offensive.

Johnson still feeling his way.  Moore clearly persisting with Green to try and build his confidence hoping he'll spark with an assist or a goal.  That's a luxury we're just about getting away with in these early stages whilst other teams are also finding their feet, but I would hope we use the opportunity on Tuesday to introduce a new boy in one of the wide attacking positions and get legs and game time into Corbeanu if he's recovered from Aids.
