id love to have a chat to a hull supporter ,they went through same 12 months ago went down, hated owner etc yet come back up as champions  how did they turn it around? and what if any chance we have of doing the same? so many decent clubs are in that league or have been before and spent a very long time there , sunderland ipswich charlton portsmouth ,  what is going to happen for us to be above those 4 next season? and he mentions issues short and long term? thats the scary part .

Yeah - the long term ones - what the hell are they?

Well written statement

There are plans for both scenarios

Moore to be kept on

Admitting there are issues to be corrected and we need to use this as a turning point.

You're right, it is a well written statement. However the problem is that Chansiri will not have a clue how to enact what is in that statement. Actions speak louder than words and the actions he has taken so far have left us in this predicament.

Been wondering this myself for a few weeks. Some of the stuff coming out about the Allams last year was worse than the stuff we’ve read about Chansiri. Yet they assembled the perfect squad for getting out of League One.

Honestly the reaction from some fans to this statement from the chairman just hours after our club has been relegated because of his actions has me 100% convinced that if the chairman relaunched Club1867 tonight they'd all buy it

Absolutely ridiculous

Tell us what your alternative would be. I'm intrigued.

After that athletic article and the way we have been ran this season you do have to question them i agree.

Is that a real official statement?  In days past if he was a general of an army he would have been shot by firing squad for the absolute clusterf**k he has presided over.

There is nothing to suggest he is capable of putting a sustainable plan in place for us to recover.  He is a laughing stock to the people who work at the club.  As the owner of an historic football club he is a total embarrassment.

I can’t wait to get back to Hillsborough to tell Chansiri what I think of him.  We need to get him as far away from our club as quickly as possible.

There are issues we must address in the short and long term and some things will not happen overnight.

I.e. "We will be returning to all the pressing club matters as soon as we've sussed past the most important transfer window the club has ever seen. Thank you for your patience."

Only thing that will go some way to rebuilding any ounce of credibility is MONEY he needs to invest in some quality players to get the fans back on side, pay his bills and put a proper CEO in place.

If I was him I’d get a full team of exec people on board to hide behind hopefully win a few games be in the top 6 in September then finally show my face, because the reality is that statement doesn’t wash at all and he will get absolute dogs abuse when fans are back in the ground.

It seems he has no desire to leave which if things carry on as they are we could be in serious end of club scenario trouble.

what an absolute clusterfcuk!!

The aim for THIS season was promotion

We got relegated

He said sorry for the points deduction that got us relegated when we got hit by it

He said he'd put things right

We got relegated

Exactly we need big big changes if he’s staying, and I think the chances are that he is. So the best we can hope for is a new ceo and dof

It doesn’t sound like he’s going anywhere. Tbh a small part of me does feel sorry for the guy, he’s basically emptied his wallet in to us, has no clue what he’s doing and bitten off more than he can chew.

He really needs to start listening though and make changes. If he announced that he’s slashing ticket prices, getting rid of his advisors and putting in a CEO, plus going to bankroll a rebuild of the playing squad, then people will need to get behind him.

If he doesn’t do any of that then the decline will just carry on and he won’t have changed tack at all. It’s down to him now to show willingness for what people want

Lost count of how many times "he really needs to start listening" has been said...the time to start listening and learning about running a historic football club was the day he bought it, not 6 years down the line.

As your owner and chairman, I take full responsibility for everything that happens at our club. I am the leader and in good times or bad, the responsibility for Sheffield Wednesday lies with me. I am sorry to you all that we have been relegated.

This was never what I anticipated when I came to Hillsborough in 2015, my vision was to take Wednesday into the Premier League. We came so close in 2016 and then again in 2017 and since then the times have not been so good at all.

In football, in sport, there are highs and there are lows and right now, this is the lowest I have felt and I know you will be feeling the same. There are no guarantees in football, we have tried our best but our best was not good enough. We must now face the reality of what lies ahead and for next season at least, that is League One.

We must pick ourselves up from the floor and move forward in a positive way. We have had plans for both scenarios and now our immediate future is clear, we can start to put those plans into place.

I can pledge that as chairman, I will give everything I can and offer as much support as possible to everyone as we try and achieve promotion at the first attempt. There are issues we must address in the short and long term and some things will not happen overnight.

Darren Moore will be the manager for sure and the moment I mention Darren’s name, I must wish him all the very best as he continues his recovery from illness. Health must come before anything else, as this past year has taught us more than ever.

I would like to say thank you to the coaching staff who stepped up in Darren’s absence and also to everyone who has worked so hard during what has become one of if not the most challenging season in the history of Sheffield Wednesday.

It has ended in the worst possible way but we have to look for the light at the end of the tunnel. We will rebuild on the pitch, and off it, the day when fans return cannot come soon enough. I say thank you to our fans, it has been soulless without having you following the team home and away and I know all clubs say the same but we have missed your support so much.

Like all of you, I hope that life can return to normal soon and in football, that will mean having our fans back into Hillsborough and following the team around the country in the numbers that you do.

You do not deserve this end to a season that in so many ways we will want to forget but in others we can look back on in time as a turning point for the revival of our club.

Just feck off chansiri

Well yeah it’s unlikely isn’t it.. but if he stays and doesn’t change approach at all then nothing will change. This could be a shock for him which might be a reset but can’t see it
