God, I want this man as our manager so much, based on nothing other than a Google image search.

He never smiles!

Here he is, delighted to have joined Watford:

Having watched his team score a goal:

He reminds me of the guy from the film Behind Enemy Lines (2001) and Niko from the game GTA IV haha.

Where’s the dull defensive football come from is there anything in this or is it a case of one owl stalker chucking their negative view to n and it’s now fact

only ask because I’ve never heard of the guy, and even knowing he was briefly at Watford and was sacked after getting manager of the month and having Watford in 4/5th I still don’t know how they played under him

never had Watford as a particularly defensive team

The local Watford paper ran an article on why he was sacked

Defensive football mentioned in there

Saw him looking at a 3 bed semi on Parkside Road, before lockdown though.

Maybe he's back out of the country and can't get in, hence the delay?

Is that really true ?

Could have sworn they were all terraced houses on there.

Decent record in his few years of management. Can’t read too much into him getting sacked at Watford. Managers don’t tend to last long there.

Sure I heard Deeney slagging him off on talksport the other day,

He comes across as a bit of a gob5hite.

He just reminds me of this.

Haha, "Slav life" he's the guy at 0:48 with the Wednesday scarf on haha. It puts our "chavs" ect. who hang around on street corners and parks ect. to shame haha. Also Ivić and your video reminded me of these videos. He's the faceless guy on the first video with the accordion haha. Those videos of that have been on youtube for years and years, but the originals have been taken down over the last year or so I think. The video ect. has kinda become a joke/meme on the internet. The other two are just funny, you can spend hours watching those type of videos haha.

This guy is from same stables we usually appoint managers. Therefore could be some truth in it.

He has reputation as very good coach. From what I heard does his homework very thoroughly on players club and opposition.

He rules players very strictly some of the lot we had would not be tolerated. Having said that the likes of Guardiola, Klopp, and Hassenhuttl have strict regimes.

Watford have a few players who think they are better than they are and wanted to do own thing. This guy would not tolerate that.

He not only looks sinister he is sinister in size standing over 6ft 3in and looks one not to mess with.

Deeney has been mentioned in this thread I saw him other day and he is overweight for footballer without a doubt.

Think he is best of all foreign managers who have so far been named by quite a long way.

Would probably still prefer Cook but would accept this chap.

By far the best name out of the dross being banded about as favorites.

Dross like Joey Barton and Mick Mccarthy should be nowhere near our club

That's right, you wouldn't want someone with name like

Anastasijević
Antanasijević
Buljubašić
Balabanović
Barjaktarević

Would make it difficult for everyone.

Probably from the game at the start of this season when Watford and their Premier League riches and 20+ internationals came to Hillsboro with a 5-4-1 and didn't cross the halfway once in the first half.

And then absolutely schooled us in the second half

Obviously didn't score but still.

Wouldn't look too much into him getting the chop at Watford.

For one they sack about six managers  season and by all accounts, the likes of Deeney hold a lot of sway and influence in the dressing room and higher.

Guest FoxOwl12

Last year a Watford physio told me that Ivic was basically no good. Not long after he was sacked and Pearson brought in to save them from relegation.

Ivic was appointed after Pearson.
