Garry Monk Post Match Comments

The guy is deluded.

Honestly at this stage I'd rate him worse than Dross. At least when you watched Dross's selection and tactics he was basically begging to be sacked. Monks play is just as bad but he's actually trying. It's laughable.

Players fatigued; whilst across the city they press until the last minute striving for a goal.

Attitude; desire and ambition are mental traits for winners - we lack these and we have physical wrecks.

Exactly, you need leaders on the pitch and in the dressing room, the few we had Monks bombed out.

we do people look for excuses ....we got beat by a better side ...

Are the blunts players better man for man than Spurs, Arsenal or anyone else in the Premier?

No they aren't but they show desire, teamwork, ambition & determination together with organisation & knowing exactly what's expected of them.

We have players with some ability but knowhere near the required mental atributes & a manager that seems unable to instill his ideas into them.

I don’t get this bit regarding Tom Lees....

“The scan came back clear. We are dictated by how he feels. We will speak to the doctors tomorrow.”

Surely now is the time the captain of the team should be leading by example, keeping the players focused and motivated and be first on the team sheet. There really is something going on in that dressing room that we don’t know about - It’s not a coincidence- too many players now not playing who could/should be.

I can’t watch interviews with players and managers any more. Same with pundits comments.

It’s cut and paste - they say the same things over and over again every week. There’s more variety in pre recorded commentary in FIFA ffs.

This ^^^times a million

Gary: So Alan, what did you think of that?

Alan: Well Gary, I thought I’d talk gonads for two minutes, pinch a couple of your cheese and onion crisps and get paid another £100k whilst stating the bleeding obvious and playing captain hindsight.

Gary: Top man, I have to agree. Another crisp?

GM: To go from a situation where you think you’ve scored at the end.. but the main factor is, from the end of that game, we have to be much, much better at the fundamentals. It’s about that focus and concentration at the critical moment. You expect to have that at this level

GM: Hugely disappointing that moment went against us with the goal but then those last ten minutes, the individual battles, the concentration, it has cost us

GM: We didn’t concentrate in those vital moments. You have to focus and win those battles and we didn’t do that

GM: We just lack the ability to concentrate in those moments towards the end of games. I understand you live and die by results, it needs a lot of work but I’m determined. The demand is always there at big clubs and I’m determined to get it right

You are not good enough to come up with the solution to get is our of the current situation

So now resign and do us all a favour
