torryowl
Big difference between hard and dirty.....knighton is the hardest player I've seen but wouldnt have called him a dirty player .......can think of many hard lads we've had but the sneaky over the top dirty types are few and far between

Guest Hornsby
Souness dirtiest opponent, and most cynical. Took out main threat early in game before ref had balls. Siggy was done after about 4 minutes. Never really recovered.
Inspector Lestrade
Went to watch my nephew play at under 9s level yesterday, off the ball tackles were flying round left, right and centre, two lads had a right slanging match after one scythed the other one down, their dads had to literally pick them up and carry them off the pitch. Great game as well 2-2, the British game is in good hands on this showing, fantastic entertainment.

Reckon every club would have signed him at the time if they had the opportunity a right player, shouldn't just be remembered for his strong arm tactics but he was hell a of a player as well.

slinger208b
Dejan Stefanovic had a naughty streak. Saw him at Hillsborough once tracking Michael owen towards the Kop. He feigned kicking the ball and just wellied Owen in the stomach. Or maybe he just missed the ball... Tony Kay was a wonderful footballer though. I recall him clobbering Nobby Lawton of Mn U at Hillsborough after Nobby had been putting flying boots IN on others beforehand. Of course on away grounds he may have been more provocative

Too true mate. Best hard man who could also play. Was brilliant. Way better than Keane for example. Don't make em anymore. Either hard and donkeys like Kante , or posers like Grealish. Yeah, think international when he did Siggy. Edited October 14, 2020 by Hornsby
