A Nightmare on Jihadi John Street

The problem for them now are agents.

Agents of the established  Premier League players they have.

Agents of players who are wanted by the established Premier League club

Most of the Premier League clubs have to go through it time and time again.

It's a very hard juggling act.

Agreed

The average weekly wage in the PL is £60k a week. Non of their players will be anywhere near that. The agents will be in for a busy summer and things are about to get very expensive

I think it's gonna be a car crash

Do you put championship level footballers on PL money?

Or keep them on the same money?

Or do you buy loads of PL players?

And many clubs find that's the major issue.

Refer to Huddersfield town

That is the dilemma, good luck to wilder in replacing those guys with foreign players that put that sort of effort in

Mousett already looks to have fallen by the way side

After finishing 9th expectations will be much higher than start of this season where they were just happy to survive.

It will be like after we finished 3rd, following couple of season's our supporters were disappointed with finishing mid table.

Really think, hope, this is going to be a difficult summer for them. And fortunately a short one too. If they lose a couple of their better players to the likes of spurs and arsenal, will bog roll use the money to  pay off mc cable or reinvest in the team. Difficult decision. How will Wilder replace those players, big name big money signings who may not accept what he wants them to do, or bargain basement that might not come off. Difficult decision. He also said in one one his mardybum rants about contract demands, so they also face the promble of players ( or agents) wanting better deals. Do they pay up or pee them off. Again difficult decisions.

And those decisions are going to be coming thick and fast in the next couple of weeks.

Add to that most agree they have over achieved this season, so the expectation will be considerably higher, particularly amongst those newly arrived blavdes who have suddenly become interested in football.

Still maintain what I said about their 3 big money signings...not shown anything near their value. Was funny seeing McBurnie lead a counter attack on Sunday, I swear Nuhiu looks quicker!

I'm hoping his L1 / Champ players comment comes to bite him back on the ass. Must be pretty annoying as a player hearing your manager say that about you and trying to take all the credit for the success they've had thus far

The problem for the pigs at present is they play a high tempo, high energy game which they use to make up for their lack of talent compared to many other clubs in the Premier League.

Physically this takes a lot out of the players so the quick game turn around after the lockdown plus no fans has been to their detriment and has affected their form compared to what they were like before lockdown.

Going into next season they have just a 7 week break before the new season starts, they have a small squad and no prospect of crowds anytime soon, and even when fans are allowed into the grounds it’ll not be the high numbers that attended previously. Also their will probably be a lot more midweek matches too as the season won’t be allowed to run over due to the European Championships. I think all of the above will affect them as it has after the lockdown.

I’d also add they could be without their best player from the last 2 seasons, Henderson.

What Money?

They have already borrowed against TV money up to November 2020 to fund last summers signings and this years operating costs.

Age old question about them. They seem to get a load of cash in, Tevez money for instance but where does it go?
