We'd never win at Middlesbrough in a month of Sundays. United would get their usual hat full against us at the Lane. It's all supposition anyway, we won't be in the top six. Only taking 3 points from a possible 9 against Reading, Millwall and Rotherham pretty much killed off our very slim chances. We weren't great there but it wasn't too bad. Against Swansea we looked decent but not world beaters. We have the makings of being a reasonable side but nowhere near good enough... If we'd won those 3 though, we'd be 3 points off the playoffs with 1 team between us and 6th. It was actually a lot closer than anyone realised 4 games ago.
