I’m sure they have committed to the club in some way. I’m just saying announcing them could lead us into bother with the EFL, like we saw with Birmingham last season. I won’t say they’ve signed until it is confirmed by the club. There is no official announcement they’ve signed, nothing which suggests we’ve sold our ground and nothing to indicate we are under an embargo. It’s all just paper talk and rumours. The only thing we can go on is Chansiri’s word, and he said back in January we’d be in trouble if something doesn’t change by the time the accounts are submitted. Those accounts which still haven’t been submitted by the way. Sorry but I’m not going to sit here and pretend all will be fine. This summer is heading the same way as last summer. It's fairly unusual to take players, who are purely on trial, to a huge club summer event and let them take photos with all of the fans and their adoring kids though... Birmingham were in trouble with the EFL for being put into a soft embargo and then paying a fee for a player. They signed a number of players for free that weren't a concern. Do you think Borner would have reneged on a verbal agreement to sign with his old club in Germany, move his wife & family to Sheffield & look for schools in the area if he hadn't signed a contract with the club.
