@owlstalk
The Owls can confirm that the squad’s pre-season preparations for the 2018/19 campaign will be based on home soil. Manager Jos Luhukay considered a range of options both in England and across Europe but given his experiences of the past has opted for the former. He said: “We thought about going away but I have spent a lot years in Austria, Holland and Germany so know the travel always takes a lot of time out of the camps. "When you go and come back, you lose at least one and often two training days so we have decided we will stay in England. “The physical side from the team and the players is very important. The Championship is such a strong, intensive league so you must have good preparation. "Pre-season is always very important. We have to come in a good feeling and in a good shape.” The Owls’ full itinerary of pre-season fixtures will be confirmed and communicated in due course. Flat Owl
A tour of the west country would be nice.... No more beach jollies after they've had 6 weeks off.
Blatter
Sounds like they're in for a tough time. Hope its done right this time around can't afford another injury blighted season, especially if the squad is to be thinned out.
danblakemore
I'd get up to Scotland. 3 x matches again Premiership opposition, last one being Rangers would be ideal.

OxonOwl
Is he saying at home (Sheffield) or somewhere in the UK. I think getting the whole squad away somewhere is better. The UK is ok. It is the work that counts. Edited May 15, 2018 by OxonOwl

Rogers
Back to pre-season friendliest against Mansfield, Chesterfield, Matlock Town, Alfreton, and probably Burton, Bolton, and Kilmarnock.
striker
Like Jos' style, always comes across as professional. Missed a trick though, could he not get them to run/swim over for a couple of games in Europe...fitness training while travelling?
