i used to be sc_owl
Feeling pretty positive about the game today. Think we will win and I fancy Nuhiu to score a goal.

Well some Bullen, learned a lot from Carlos. Difference between being dropped and being rested. You did hear the press conference about Joao being absolutely knackered at Forest after doing his first 90 minutes for months and working harder than he's ever worked in a Wednesday shirt? SquirrelSlingshot
I'd imagine Bullen is trying to keep Joao fresh for the Burton game?
Think tank
Disappointed it is 4-4-2. I would like to have seen Abdi start.
Guest mkowl
Exactly I wouldn't over analyse the team selection over the Christmas period. Get out those fittest to play
Jon Newsome
The only concern is that a full back is playing ahead of Venancio at centre back. Doesn't put out a good message for him, didn't look too bad against Middlesbrough.
royalowlisback
Must think Venancio is awful if he plays Pudil at Centre Half before him?
Silkstone Owl
Folk need to listen to what bullen said. Joao clearly not recovered great and not surprised given he’s not played 90mins for months. Hopefully our super sub. Be interesting to see what we come up with our wingers. gazzamk2
STOP MOANING ABOUT THE LINE UP!!! This is Bully's team and they'll be busting a gut for him. There would be moans if he played a knackered Joao and he got injured or was off the pace... Get behind the team and have some bloody faith!! Think tank
Although I’m not happy with the 4-4-2, I am however more confident that Bullen will make the necessary changes if things aren’t going well.

Ash77
No pace up front without joao or hooper so may be pushed well back with no space or out ball, expect to be losing with that side with joao on 2nd half to hopefully salvage something Edited December 30, 2017 by Ash77
madfan
You would'nt think Mr Chansiri would have a problem selecting a new manager would you ? This site is full of 'em.
BrotherOwlExile
DELIGHTED Atdhe is starting. Big N terrifies em up front. He will have a good afternoon. He is fit. He is first in the gym. That's what partly we've lacked as we all sadly know. Edited December 30, 2017 by BrotherOwlExile Add

Me too, but thinking about it, that formation can be effective in finding space behind the full backs when the opposition play 4231. We have named two battling midfielders, so presume Bullen will keep it simple, leave Hutch and Butterfield to sit and let the front four go and play. Imagine his instructions will be to look for the wide players, win the second balls off Nuhiu and get the ball in the box at every opportunity. If Brentford's wing backs can be kept busy with our wingers playing high up the pitch, denies them width, allows Palmer and Fox to tuck in when necessary out of possession and overload their full backs when in possession.
