So both effective at this level.

Couple of key differences though.

Hooper was playing in a much better side. He's also a player that relies on others to create. McCormack is a self sufficient forward who can conjure something out of nothing. He's one of only a few in the championship who can compete with FF in that regard.

That's not the full story.

Fulham were a poorer side but they were among the highest scorers in the league.

They were poorer at defending. Not necessarily attacking.

You can tell quite easily with zoom. It's not him.

Why on earth would Ross McCormack be loitering in the background  like this, on his own? Did he come on the tram?

wonder if he bumped into our invisible man Melo

My guess is, we are signing Olivera, wh at 24 will be considerably cheaper and iplays facing the goal, he is a good link up player can play wide midfield as well, he also takes a very good free lick.

He scores goals and is different to anything we have , plus he will get better with the right coaching

Wednesday won't be paying 11 million pounds for anyone, let alone 15. He wouldn't fit into our wage structure, even if we could afford the transfer fee. We'll pay 4 million pounds, at the most. Villa and Newcastle are a different kettle of fish, and if he goes anywhere it will be to one of those two. That's why it's so difficult to get out of this division, and we're probably destined to be the bridesmaids once again. Still, I guess these kind of stories sell season tickets...

You say we have a wage structure and know what this is? Care to share this information with the rest of us?

Just thought I'd post this for those who think we might get rid of Hooper, looking at last season he actually had a better score ratio than McCormack and Forestieri.

What should fill us with even greater confidence, is that when Joao or Nuhiu were on the field, Fernando and Hooper scored every 155 minutes!

So, given that Fletcher is a significant upgrade, they should thrive playing with him. And we should get 12-15 from Fletcher himself.
