Sorry about that" "Let your eyes follow the yo-yo, see nothing but the yo-yo.....now feel your fingers relaxing...feel the strain leaving your body.... keep your eye on the yo-yo...just focus on the Yo-yo...your feet no longer hurt.....just focus on your breathing....keep your eyes on the yo-yo. ...feel the tension releasing from your back....you have no aches, you have no pains, ....you just feel calm....feel your eye lids relaxing now...." 2 hours later "Sir, wake up." "How long have I been out?" "An hour since I have been back ,Sir" "Good God! IT worked." "What worked ,Sir?" "That bloody hypnotist. I tell you Stubbs! It worked. My sore neck - gone! Look, look at my hands, once withering with age, now fleshed! It worked. Waste no time Stubbs, call Darren Moore. We'll send this one down there. He'll solve all these injury worries we have, using the power of his incredible and hypnotic mind controlling skills" "Who will, Sir?" "The bloody hypnotist I hired of course! To try and help Wednesday with their injury crisis. It's worth trying anything once, and by gad, its done the job. Thought I'd trial it myself first you see, make sure it worked and the man wasn't a fraud. And it has. I feel, I don't know how to describe it ,Stubbs. I feel- lighter somehow. " "We are lighter ,Sir. The hypnotists is gone. And so is the family silver..." "I'll bloody kill him! Quick Stubbs, with me , after the rotetr.....arrggghh" "Sir?" "I think I've torn my hamstring" -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Burton Albion V Wednesday Saturday Feb 5th, 2022 Kick off: 3pm Pirelli Stadium ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- BURTON ALBION After suffering a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Milton Keynes Dons, the Brewers responded with a victory last weekend when they travelled to Sincil Bank to face Lincoln City. Despite falling behind courtesy of a John Marquis strike, Burton Albion returned home with all three points after Joe Powell and Sam Hughes turned the game on its head to give Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side a 2-1 victory. Having lost just once in their previous six matches, the Brewers now have the opportunity to claim back-to-back wins this weekend. In their last home outing, they failed to score for only the second time at home in the league this term after the MK Dons backline kept the Brewers at bay. Burton Albion possible: 3-5-2 Kovar Hughes Brayford Oshilaja Hamer Gilligan Powell Shaughnessy Kokolo Saydee Ahadme -------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEDNESDAY Following consecutive home fixtures, the Owls will now head on the road and after losing their last three away matches, the visitors may be slightly pessimistic of their chances at the weekend. In those three away games, they conceded nine goals, while only scoring two of their own, but Moore will be hoping that recent home victories can translate into away day success. Lee Gregory, Harlee Dean, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Josh Windass all remain unavailable to manager Darren Moore. Wednesday possible: 3-5-2 Peacock-Farrell Storey Hutchinson Palmer M-Laing Byers Luongo Baz Johnson Sow Kamberi -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FORM GUIDE -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited February 5, 2022 by Lord Snooty 17 7 9

Pablo Bonvin
Good morning Milord. Click your fingers and bring me back in the room tomorrow at ten to five please as I really don't fancy the game tomorrow. I fear we'll droop against The Brewers. I'll be happy with a point. 1
Costello 77
Bloody Burton tho...it doesn't seem 5 minutes since we were giving the cream of the championship the runaround. Ravaged by injury I'd actually take a draw.

Rev Owl
Can't believe I'm saying this but even with injuries I think we have enough for the win. (Can't believe I'm resorting to disclaimers v Burton - but Oxford did the double) (( it's a funny old game)) UTO

Morepork
I remain unconvinced about Moore but lets be fair, whilst some of the issues have been self inflicted the injury debacle would challenge even an elite coach. Burton are a big test and personally I think a point there under the circumstances would be a great result. I can't imagine a launch so I might take the opportunity to unblock the toilets in HMSPTL........ Dig deep Wednesday. Bulldog
I'd take a draw but this has all the makings of a 1:0 defeat
Suzuki_San
Our defence looks a lot more solid with Storey and Hutch in it. Palmer is...OK...on the left of the 3. And with Luongo tidying up, I am a lot more comfortable with out back line. It's up top that worries me...no Gregory, Windass...the new kid injured...I fear us being a bit toothless. Prove me wrong Wednesday!

Holmowl
The 5 across the middle is superb. NML Luongo Byers Bannan Johnson Thats really something to behold in L1. The defence is decent but nowhere near our strongest, and we’ll be fielding our 3rd & 4th choice forwards. Overall it’s going to be a pretty strong Xl. I can see us dominating long periods of the game with that middle 5, and if we start Paterson and Kamberi I think our hold-up play among our front 7 will make us very difficult to play against. Might come down to the quality of set-pieces (ours need to improve) and defensive errors (BPF has looked very nervy recently), but I don’t think so. Easy selection for Moore, unless we suffer paper cuts or Deep-Veined Thrombosis on the bus, or twisted ankles getting off:- BPF Storey Hutch Palmer NML Luongo Byers Bannan Johnson Kamberi Paterson Edited February 5, 2022 by Holmowl
