I mean, crikey it's a game we could well do without, in a competition we could do without, and we're already qualified for the next round anyway. I mean, the entire thing is just a complete waste of time. Stubbs, I say Stubbs, are you even listening to me." "Of course I am , Sir. Kelfin Platz
Well, it was a valiant effort but you're no Jimmy Bullard. Not sure whether that's a good thing or not though.
Morepork
Actually looking forward to this. Let's bang a few in and build a bit of positivity!! A chance to give a bit of game time to some players, hopefully we can do that without a complete tactical reshuffle......

GoldGigsChris
Owlstalky Sleaze. Surely Stubbs gets paid enough without having to lobby us on behalf of Papa John's Pizza. How much have they paid him? Does he get a seat with the Lords for tonight on the South Stand? 2

Ethel The Tree
I'd find room in the starting XI for Brennan, Waldock & Adedoyin Other than that, just go all-out and play to win the game - and the group Then it's more prize money and a home tie in the next round
A E Neuman NYowl
Great stuff Snooty. With all of the injuries hope we don't play Palmer, Dunkley or Johnson. We have looked the most solid in defence all season with these 3 and I would keep them free for Saturday.

striker
With the fixture schedule incoming, maximum changes possible in what is a pointless competition, still, better than an u23 game for fitness I suppose. Had a quick look at the team selection rule testicles, firstly; only guidance, secondly stipulates.... "has made forty or more starting appearances in First Team Fixtures or international equivalents (and not limited to the same Club or Season)" So as far as I can think; Wildsmith, Luongo, Byers, Sow, Berahino for example all fulfill this criteria, if we want to draft in some u23s Edited November 9, 2021 by striker
longreach
"Do we really want a matchday thread for this ridiculous competition?! Well teams like Harrogate depend on games like this.........put it down as a charity match. Win/lose it's a good run-out for our fringe players. Tamworthowl
I hope we don’t start with both Luongo and Byers. Both need minutes, but probably not 90. Id start with one and change at half time, saving a substitution for game management.
