How does this lineup look to you?

If these players were all fit how would you feel about giving this starting lineup 5 games on the bounce to settle down and so we can start to work out where to go from there?

Not saying for one second it's perfect, just that it might be worth just going with it for 5 games straight and taking it from there?

With the players we currently have available that's probably the best side we could put out and one which most of us and any sensible coach can see.
 

Unfortunately we don't pick the side and we seem to be sorely lacking in the sensible coach department.

That’s a fair line up for that system.
I think that DM wanted to play that system but when we have we’ve not managed to make it 4-3-3…..it’s always turned out to be 4-5-1.

FDB deserves his place and it’s up to Shadipo and Corbeanu to step up in the same way. Shadipo hasn’t taken his chance to impress so far. Corbeanu hasn’t  had a fair chance yet, but don’t know what he shows in training.

Arguably i would put Berhanino in there instead of Gregory and allow a fluid and more mobile front three, but we need to stick to a system and keep with it, stop faffing around with trying to adapt for each game. 

 

The occasional tweak yes, like the time Atherton was asked to man mark McManaman and he was in his pocket all game. 

Currently we look clueless

Not a bad looking lineup but i dont rate Shodipo, would rather see Kamberi get a run.

It could work. If each wide forward doubles up as a striker when the ball goes down the other wing, it would mean bodies in the box. And midfielders pushing up if the defence stops the cross.

If Luongo were fit, he would play in front of the back 2, with Bannan and Adeniran in front in more advanced midfield positions where they are more dangerous. I'd like to see a 4-3-3 like that.

Agree with the selection, but Adeniran should be deeper, 4:2:3:1

 

if we play the formation on this thread against Sunland with Bannan as the only protection for the back four, we’ll get murdered.

We're struggling to score goals now.

 

Formation's gone but the forward is still playing every game.

 

Maybe if we'd changed the forward instead of the entire team, we'd be better off.
