Immediate changes for next game

Without Bannan we create absolutely nothing - DA is needed to bring the energy, Dele didn't do badly on Saturday but to pick them both is not going to work

A central midfield with Bannan in there is weak. He may be our best player buts he makes us weaker as a team.

Don't need a ball playing one we need a back 4 that can deal with crosses coming in for the 90 minutes because that's what CUFC will look to do. Now 2 central midfield players who can sit in front and pick up the clearances and turn the game would be excellent ..pretty sure we have that option...

Summed it up perfectly. Its hardly rocket science. Play two physical central midfielders means the opposition are forced wide and have to attract us from the flanks. It's far easier to defend crosses into the box than it is seeing them walk through our midfield and get shots off from the edge of our box.

For me there’s no need for big changes.

Over the 90 one player deserves dropping - Brown.

Who can replace him like for like - Johnson.

Other than that there wasn’t a poor performance from any player, so why change?

Spot on,  for me it's the chopping and changing that's problem, for 70mins Saturday that's best we've played this season

Or we could use the defence and keeper  that kept loads of clean sheets at the start of the season.

We just needed to sort our wide men out, or at least give someone a run of games. But we kept chopping and changing and all of a sudden we’re now playing a system with no wingers.

Dele-Bashiru taken off and suddenly the midfield gets overrun. Not a coincidence this boy needs to play as he adds a bit of ooomph to the midfield which is the main problem.

Both him and Adenerin (if fit). Bannan on the left as an inside left midfielder, like he played under Carlos. 4 at the back and 2 up front.

Simples.

Defending isn't a big prob as such🙂...

We have the 3rd best defence in the league...even with a dodgy keeper

Quite clearly we have some immediate issues we need to address before the next game that most fans can see and Moore swimmingly cannot:

1. A ball playing CB - Iorfa and Dunkley does not work and they aren’t confident to pick a pass out

2. A replacement at LB/LWB - has to be Palmer for me if/until we bring in a natural as Brown will never fit there

3.  Midfield 3 - This has to be Bannan + a ball winner + power to move us up pitch. Wing doesn’t suit our setup, totally ineffective and slow and Hutch should never play outside of CB again. This would have to be any out of Adeniran,  FDB or Shodipo - win the ball higher up the pitch and some pace/power alongside Bannan.

Game management and tactics are anyone’s guess under DM but the above to me are what we should start with tomorrow night.

Have I read this wrong or are you suggesting Shodipo in centre midfield

the light weight who can’t pass, can’t tackle, loses possession more times than not but can run semi quick but not really go anywhere? In centre midfield

you might as well play him at canter back if we want to give the ball away in dangerous places at least if he plays there he’s half a chance of beating a man

The legendary 'ball playing centre back' has returned as the answer to our prayers!!  As it was under Carlos and many other managers over the years.  Where art thou Joost, your servants await?!

A mythical creature, half man, half horse, half Beckenbauer and half Baresi, this chiselled and magnificent beast can spin on a sixpence, ballet dance past any attacker and can gracefully clip 60 yarders at will to onrushing attackers.

Not a mythical creature, he was called Peter Swan !

1. We don't need one, we have 2 DMs and 2 fullbacks to pass to. Let them take the responsibility for moving it up the pitch. They're also one of the best partnerships in the league, Dunk in the air, Dom on the ground.

2. Looks like it's wingbacks all the way now, so that's Palmer out. Brown or Johnson, that's the choice.

3. Wing was involved in every attack yesterday, even playing from DM and cleaning up there. Him and Bannan, if they carry on like yesterday will be one of the best midfield pairings in the league. That was our best midfield performance all season.

So yeah, none of that's going to happen, or really needed.

1. Were Dunk and Dom involved with the goal? Nope.

2. Johnson was the wingback, then the left back,. Palmer went right.

3. Wimbledon was our best midfield performance all season. Wing was involved in every attack. Wing was involved in most of them yesterday too before he came off. He was tired, frustrated, but still nowhere near our worst player when he came off.
