Ever the pessimist
He’s probably right in the sense that it would help elite clubs and their younger players, but absolutely wrong if he thinks it’s a good idea for English football in general. 3
Popular Post Arthur Bach
City attempt to break-away to the ESL. They then back-track insisting the integrity of the game must be maintained. Then claim the EFL should be used as a breeding ground for EPL talent. Its like they're trolling us. 12 2 2
Jim
Won’t happen in the near future but this is inevitable as more and more clubs start or continue to struggle financially.

Popular Post Basement Jack
There’s nothing wrong with the football pyramid Its how it’s run that is completely wrong Guardiolas comment absolutely supports that. Another one who can’t see beyond the premier league. It stinks 13
Quickly Kevin
F*ck off Pep. I imagine City fans will cringe at this as well. Knowing they have spent their time in lower leagues in recent history as well.
Emerson Thome
If only there was some sort of system where City's players could be loaned or transferred to another team so they can become better players. 5

scram
Yes he is right 2 reasons - firstly because they are forced to pay a large squad of players so should be able to use them all as they see fit - otherwise what on earth is the point of player development Secondly, if covid had ripped through their first team and they were unable to field a team they would be forced to use any available players - as has happened at other clubs 1
Willie Henderson
The sad thing is they'd be good enough, which highlights the gulf between the EPL and everyone else. And clubs like us and Derby try to climb to this promised land and end up falling further down. Can someone sort this out please.
FreshOwl
This is when he annoys me. How does that even work on a logical sense. Imagine Man City U23s in the Championship. What if they got promoted, they’d compete in the Premier League alongside City? He thinks English football revolves around his club

Errol Flashman
He's right that kids don't gain much playing other kids every week. Why I'm glad we've started getting loads of ours out on loan in men's football. Eventually. As for their kids playing in the EFL Champ, league 1 as a whole club...
