If they were not at the races yesterday then they fully deserve the pelters they are getting. They are more than happy to be over social media when things are going well, so they all need to knuckle down work hard and get a result next week. Wing certainly looked good in that role admittedly against Newcastle youngsters. Bannan and Wing have not complimented each other so far. Here he plays second fiddle to Bannan and that hasn’t worked so far. Sorry in Yorkshire we call a spade a spade. Yesterday wasnt good enough and neither was the previous week. If results like that keep coming then so will the barbs and brickbats. 0742 Posted September 12, 2021 Share Posted September 12, 2021 A midfield trio of bannan, wing and Byers is pretty painful. None of them are second ball winners, lost count of how many times our defenders won a header or put a tackle in only for a Plymouth player to scoop it up. Some of the midfields off ball play was really poor to see yesterday too, those 3 lack any sort of cohesion needed too. That said, I was with a mate of Wing's a few weeks ago, he said league one is his level, said he would be solid at this level for us if played right. Can play 2 of the 3 with a luongo / adenrian , or even hutch if needed just sitting in front of the back 4. None seemed to play high enough up and preferred to play deep . Right now Luongo, Adeniran and Bannan have been the best 3 CMs. Shame Luongo is made of glass. Only if you are on it. plenty of players now outsource it so they don’t have to read the idiocy of social media users, including their own fans . Many don’t even do that eg Hutchinson.
