toooldforthis
So realistically we need 22 more points to avoid relegation. There are 14 games left so we need 1.6 points per game and this season we have achieved 34 points from 32 games which is 1.06 points per game. 22 points is: 8 wins (8 games) 7 wins and 1 draw (8 games) 6 wins and 4 draws (10 games) 5 wins and 7 draws (12 games) or a minimum of 4 wins and 10 draws (14 games) If we suffer 1 more defeat we need to win at least 5 games. Our remaining fixtures are: Home: Rotherham, Norwich, Huddersfield, Cardiff, Bristol, Blackburn, Forest, Swansea (tba). Away: Reading, Barnsley, Watford, QPR, Middlesborough, Derby. Where do we all think we will get the 4 - 6 wins we need to stay up? Edited March 2, 2021 by toooldforthis
S36 OWL
We have only won 9 from 32, no way do I see us picking up 8 wins from the last 14.
Manwë
No reason why we can't beat Rotherham, Hudders, Cardiff and Forest at Home. No reason we can't beat Barnsley, Boro and Derby away. And there'll be draws along the way. It's going to be a piece of ********.

areNOTwhatTHEYseem
18 more points gets us to the average points tally required for safety.
CalmJimmers
Don't think we'll make it - had a chance to chuck our muck but we couldn't get our trousers off.
striker
Everyone in this league is beatable, but we shoot ourselves in the foot more often than not. If the players turn up and want to play football, we can pick up plenty of points, but thats a big if based on recent experience over the last few seasons. Let's see what impact a permanent manager such as Moore can provoke.
prowl
After the last game I don't think we could beat a side playing in the park on Sunday morning even if they gave us a 5 goal start. The manager will need a magic wand to get us out of this. Lose tomorrow and we are down. I know it isn't a mathematic certainty but the gutless performances we've been turning in are a sign of a squad that has lost it in a major way. I'm not sure the new manager has realised the depth of the problem The whole club need a major dose of laxative.
theowlsman
Staying up is going to be reyt hard. We need a couple more teams to start going on a horrendous run.
Kew Owl
Looking at the fixture list does not fill me with anything approaching a sense of optimism, I’m afraid. Rotherham and Huddersfield ( both at home ) are our most likely wins IMHO, but even they are looking difficult fixtures on current form. Make no mistake, DM certainly has a challenge ahead. lt109
can only see 16 to 18 points so finishing the season between 44 and 46 points unless DM can work some magic, don't think that will be enough sadly
Guest
No chance of staying up The defeats to Birmingham and Luton sealed any last chance we had If we stay up then Moore should have a job for life, dealing with DC and these godawful players is a impossible job imo

sMacLean
45 points should keep us up, high tide has stopped. Beat Rotherham and 14 points from 13 very doable. Massive game coming up.
yeadonowl
We’ve seen before new manager comes in and unexpected results seem to follow Take Bristol City for example, no one would have had them winning away at Swansea before new manager came in

Massive game coming up. I hope you’re right, but I’d be genuinely surprised if 45 was enough to keep us up - that would mean there would need to be 3 other clubs ending up with an average of less than a point a game. At the moment there’s only 2 clubs apart from ourselves averaging less than a point a game. For a third club to end up with less than 45 points, we need someone like Birmingham, Coventry or Huddersfield to go on a bad run. Very doubtful IMO
trev
Nah.. Not happening. But I'm more optimistic of giving it a good go next season with DM here. He knows the league and we will be a decent draw for young uns on loan. We may well get a Wembley day out again.
