Where Do You Think The Points Will Come From?

Recommended Posts

I don’t think we are going to get the points. Moore is probably here three games too late. I’m glad he is here but think it’s for rebuilding next season IMO.

Brum was the start of a run where we needed 6 points and got none.

Miracles do happen but not very often.

So realistically we need 22 more points to avoid relegation.

There are 14 games left so we need 1.6 points per game and this season we have achieved 34 points from 32 games which is 1.06 points per game.

22 points is:

8 wins (8 games)

7 wins and 1 draw (8 games)

6 wins and 4 draws (10 games)

5 wins and 7 draws (12 games)

or a minimum of 4 wins and 10 draws (14 games)

If we suffer 1 more defeat we need to win at least 5 games.

Our remaining fixtures are:

Home: Rotherham, Norwich, Huddersfield,  Cardiff,  Bristol, Blackburn,  Forest, Swansea (tba).

Away: Reading, Barnsley, Watford,  QPR, Middlesborough, Derby.

Where do we all think we will get the 4 - 6 wins we need to stay up?

I am sure DC could move some from last year's accounts we had 8 more points than we needed last season😁😁😁

All seriousness I think we probably need 7 wind from the remaining 15 games which is a big ask when we only have 8 wind from 31 games.

Some where in the region of 20-22 points should be about the mark.

there are 14 games left and we might be ok with 4 wins and a few draws...maybe 41 points will be enough

May win three max - but we’ll be down well before the season ends.

Brum seem to have found a second wind and the Luton result was the finisher IMO.

A 6 point gap at this stage is a huge ask to overcome and we aren’t good enough to do it.

You can fall into the trap of analysing it too much ...let's just get a win tomorrow and it puts us within reach of Birmingham and Coventry and hope we win our game in hand.

But I fear it could be too little too late.

If we do win tomorrow (and it's obviously critical we do), we would be only 4 points behind two teams with a game in hand. That doesn't seem so bad with 13 games to go. But win tomorrow, we must!

Can only see 4 wins, couple of draws so 14 points, taking us to 42.....not enough. Said it in previous threads but losing to all the teams around us has cost us our championship status, especially the recent ones such as Coventry and Birmingham when we thought we'd hit a bit of form.  Topped off by throwing away a 2 goal lead at the weekend.

No chance of staying up

The defeats to Birmingham and Luton sealed any last chance we had

If we stay up then Moore should have a job for life, dealing with DC and these godawful players is a impossible job imo

This unfortunately

Moore has a massive job on his hands and nothing to help him
