Palmer or Fox

If he slags them off it's easy for the opposition manager to psych his team up. 'He said they would walk over us, let's make him eat his words' etc. etc.etc.

Best course of action is always be respectful of the opposition. It also stops our players taking their foot off the gas because they think it will be an easy game.

Even if you are playing the bottom of the leaguye you say it will be a hard game. You don't have to believe it, you still say it.

Exactly.

Which is why pre-match presentations are mainly a waste of time.

I'd like to see people lay off of fox for say the next 6 games or so and give him an actual run.

See if the lad can show consistency, gain confidence and improve.

It's a different situation now, bannan on the left would tuck inside all the time and roam, Nando hated coming back and defending too, similar with Palmer on the right with Wallace, so they were always getting exposed with lack of cover. Hunt had the speed most of the time.

People said the same about penney been good going forward, but not great defencivly.

Maybe our midfield wide players had been partly to blame for this, reach being the exception, but his tackling is weak ??

It may be one of the reasons bully is reluctant to play Nando and prefers Harris as he really does put the yards in both going forward and tracking back, which Nando doesn't like to do.

Even if Palmer isn't fit Fox wouldn't start for me.

Interesting comment with Penney now out on loan.

Take it you’d bring in Thorniley, go three at the back and change the way we set up.

Only other option I see is Reach at left back and we know his limitations there.

Both not the worst to ever pull on the shirt by a long stretch. Both a fair way off what’s required though in terms of play-off or promotion contenders long term.

There will be times this season where we will be in great positions only to be let down by having a right-footed player at LB (Palmer) and other times when we would benefit having a more attack minded LB (Fox).

Still, we are in a far stronger position full-back wise than some this season. The treatment of Fox is completely unfair and counter-productive, especially now Penney has gone out on loan.

Palmer is the best full back we have, left or right. Fox did OK the other night, whereas Odubajo was again, less than convincing at right back. Palmer and Fox for me

Odubajo has played a grand total of 3 games for us ...... Palmer has had 2 decent seasons out of 8 !

Odubajo has by far the better pedigree & has been signed as first choice RB!

Lets give him a little longer than 3 games eh?

You can only go on what they are currently doing What they did two or three seasons ago has little relevance, or Rhodes would be starting every game

Reach left back , Palmer right

I’m sure that the opposing right winger would be petrified when he came up against the snarling beastly take no prisoners shin thumping Reach.... he might even refuse to take the field when he found out that he was on a b line to destruction with that wrecking ball Reach.
