daveyboy66
Carlton Palmer England midfield to Centre back...totally dominated the European Golden Boot winner Jean Pierre Papin in a Rest Of The World match against England. Papin said he was the most difficult player he had ever played against. Never gave Papin a kick all match.

asteener1867
Warhurst probably, but like a lot of "Converts" he took it too seriously... 5ft nowt Chris Morris to centre back was a ludicrous one once Jay Bothroyd moved from the right to a seat in the North most games Mark Crossley to centre forward was a good one

31Dec1966
younger fans won't understand the excitement when Warhurst went up front and started scoring freely. he was signed as a defender after a superb Bobby moore like performance for Oldham. He was good there but when he was converted to striker he was so good he was on the verge of playing for England. Then we had the mardiness of the Cup final and his career declined. But for a time we had the scoring sensation of the country.
Inspector Lestrade
For impact it has to be Warhurst, he was a revelation as a striker for a season or so.
