To make that run towards the end after being up against it for a lot of the game shows this lad has something special.

...and once he’d done that, he tried again. Nuhiu was showing for him and he just ignored the guy and ran past. This kid needs confidence and he’ll thrive.

Agreed. And loved that he played the ball and kept on running for the return. Decent shot too.

He did have tough start but did not get much help. He was playing against decent opposition but stuck at it got some success and eventually started to win the dual. its his 4th game in Championship he can not be expected to perform like a guy with 100 appearances under his belt. A very hard examination for him but got positive marks out of game. He will learn from experience and be netter player for it.

He is a very promising player and is going to be a real asset for club.

There is a comment saying best left back at club for those who have played in first team he is clear best. With production line coming along who knows what we have in wings.

Fair enough. Just think his best attribute is his delivery. Would like to see him further up the pitch.

Good player, very good prospect. Let’s see how this Doyen mob deal with it.

He’s a wing back playing fullback.

Wing back...full back.....it's the same bloody position......PlayStation generation argue about semantics but since when have "full backs been stopped from going forward".....wing backs didn't exist when Sterland and King / Worthington were bombing down the wings

Truthfully thought it wasn't his best game for us. Looked frightened whenever he received the ball further forward, missing plenty of opportunities to cross an early ball in. Thought he struggled defensively too

Couple of good runs second half but needs to be doing that more often

Today we Penny and Thornily up against Ince and Afobe.

Two inexperienced youngsters against two players who cost Stoke getting on for 25 million in the summer.

It was a big ask and they got caught out early on but the way they reacted after the two goals was great.

He got rinsed first half and his positioning in a flat back four is pretty poor. He's not been playing that role long though so willing to cut him some slack. Much better second half.

Positioning is something that often comes with experience. Hopefully with good coaching it will get better quickly.

He needs to not watch tapes of Palmer though, he just hasn't got any better. Liability today.
