Adam Reach again

Maybe he was viewed as a long term project by the club? So the changing positions was designed to develop him longer term at the expense of the short term? Think we are now seeing what a player this lad could be. Even with a 70 m price tag he is looking a snip

He's good, but £70m might be a bit steep.

It has always been obvious Reach is a good footballer

I don't think we realise how hard it was for Carlos and the players last season. Injuries piled up and no chance of getting a settled nor confident side

Reach suffered more than most because he was always fit, but played in different roles with different team every week.

No chance of getting any rhythm or confidence in his play

Was completely done in by playoffs

This reminds me of what England cricket team did with Joe Root in the batting order for a couple of seasons before he settled at 4.

It was done because the guy clearly has lots of potential and they needed to find the place for him to best effect the team. Joe Root is now widely regarded as one of the best in the world.

I think Carlos has the equivalent amount of belief in Reach because technically the lad has a lot of potential and he's prepared to play wherever we need him. That's worth 5 million.

Carlos went on record saying just what a great player Adam Reach is turning out to be

He's provided yet another important assist today setting up Hooper for the opening goal against Cardiff

Carlos is right - Reach is coming into his own now at Sheffield Wednesday

Was there really any doubt other than the boo boys

I've always thought he was more than decent.

He seemed to lack confidence or something at first. Maybe the team wasn't playing too well at times either which didn't help him.

With Joost looking good, Reach playing well, Jones getting some credit,Lee back, Bannan back to his best and sticking with the Hooper and Fletcher partnership, things are looking very good atm.

Forestieri's injury could be the best thing that's ever happened to him because he's now getting a consistent place in the team week in, week out and his confidence is blossoming as a result.

Reach was virtually undropable last season aswell. Played almost every game didn't he. Even with Forestieri fit and playing well. Reach would have just gone on the right. Is as important as anyone now. Westwood, Lees, Bannan, Lee.

Absolutely spot on assessment.

I remember last season, things really didn't go right for him.

This season though, he has really stepped up on his performances for us.

He is quickly becoming a key regular player for us this season, whether that is at left back or on the left of midfield or both.

As long as he keeps making those driving runs on the left effortlessly changing gear as he outflanks their fullback.  Absolute joy to watch.

Like to see him before the end of the season make that left midfield berth his and hopefully morgan fox get a run,  kick on and improve at left back as he came in mid season started to settle and show some promise then got injured that way we would have some youngsters as a core along with van akren to improve and grow together as a team.

Where do you all think he will play Sunday? Will he go back to left back and Wallace come back in? Or will we keep Pudil in at left back and keep Reach in midfield? Hope we go for the more attacking option of Reach at full back and Wallace back in, **** showing any respect to them lot

My guess at a team.

                 Westwood

Hunt   Lees   Van Aken  Reach

Lee  Jones  Hutchinson  Bannan

            Hooper    Fletcher

good left back in the right system as he seems to have the engine & pace to get up and back similar to hunt on the right ...not convinced when he plays further forward especially at home that he adds much attacking value to the team but that probably more to do with how we set up rather down to him
