List of all Sheffield Wednesday transfers that have included fees since Chansiri took over.

Recommended Posts

So sad we spent £8.5m just on Reach and Abdi in that second summer.  Brighton spent the same bringing in Knockaert, Duffy and Kayal, the 3 types of players we actually needed at the time.

Only Wednesday could get money and spend it so poorly

The fees are bad but the wages... jeez.... dread to think exactly how much has been wasted there.

Also, don’t forget wages paid for loan players who barely featured like Buckley

Buckley , Mageady , Macmanaman...

The wages just for those three will have been mind boggling.

This is from The Star a few days ago, and ranks the net transfer activity of all the clubs in the Championship for the last 5 seasons (and therefore does not include our substantial losses in 2015/6). According to them we are 19th, having made a net loss of £19m. The only teams doing worse than us have all been in the Premier League during that period. Brentford (that club our chairman scoffs at), lead the way with a meagre profit of £94m. With our accounts so shamefully out of date, one wonders where the data came from though.

the loan fees are staggering ,the wages most players couldn`t have been got at any other club either . at 1 point we had 15 players on 25grand or more ,hooper was on 30 grand ,fletcher 35 grand ,i know chansiri showed the wages at 1 of those fans forums he arranged .

I might be wrong here but thats £29m spent by one manager, Carlos, and the rest by the other three.

Spent under his tenure.

He definitely didn’t want Abdi and Van Aken and Rhodes certainly wasn’t his choice...

DC masterclass.
