High press with little technical quality Buck falls with Wilder, the working class hero. Hasn’t strengthened enough He has strengthened enough in terms of numbers..... just not well enough in terms of quality for c£100m

Sticking with the same model which got him promoted. Quality always wins in the long run. A bunch of try-hards will only get you so far. Once you’ve been sussed out and choose to continue with this model, you’re toast Edited September 28, 2020 by FreshOwl
TheEnchanter
My blades workmates are in denial about the money spent. Its seems to them that they have assembled the cheapest £100M team in the league.

Adem Poric
Only a matter of time before Chrissy ditches anyone that he brought in since the promotion and goes back to his humble heroes. Looking forward to their humbly expensive bench watching Billy Sharp chase around trying to flick the ball off defenders hands and appealing for 15 penalties a match.

Ever the pessimist
As much as I am enjoying this, I think reports of their demise are perhaps a little premature. Apparently they played OK yesterday, enough to make pigs I know confident they'll start to pick up points soon. Please don't put this in the same category as 'we can't laugh at them as we're worse'. Adem Poric
These are the figures from Transfermarket; Sander Berge £21.60 Aaron Ramsdale £18.45 Oliver McBurnie £17.19 Lys Mousset £9.99 Callum Robinson £7.02 Luke Freeman £5.04 Ben Osborn £3.51 Jayden Bogle £3.47 Max Lowe £3.47 Total £89.74m Outside of Ramsdale, who has to start, how many of them will be in the team when Chrissy goes back to basics? Thankfully their next 6 fixtures make picking up too many points very difficult, by that time 1/4 of the season will have gone....
Skyline
Looking for a CB to cover for JOC according to Wilder. Not ideal when they also desperately need a striker! Brewster is on their list but unproven and fee likely going to be around 20-25mil. Few others chasing which will drive up both the fee and wages. No idea why they kept Jagielka is he's not going to be used as that emergency cover.
BIG D
If any other clubs are after Brewster then being bottom isn't going to do them any favours

Exactly this. Relying on the championship model. £15m spent on two randomers from Derby, who are a poo team themselves! Should have gone continental. Most English talent isn’t good enough and eventually get found out at the highest level Look at Bournemouth, Norwich
Guest Mcguigan
The MOTD interview was funny when he was saying there was only one winner, that they had more chances, more shots on target, more corners and more possession, at the exact same time the game stats were on screen and were showing totally the opposite of what he was saying. Leeds winning 1-0, more possession, more chances, more corners, more shots on target and the better of the game. It was almost like they'd done it on purpose. Night King
Seems like they’re in pole to sign Brewster now. 17 million. Liverpool to have but back option at 40 million.

latemodelchild
So a 23m quid profit if he does well. Obviously if he does well then they'll benefit. I suppose you have to weigh up if he'll be worth more than 40mil in the future. How many goals in how many seasons to command that kind of fee do you reckon? Uncle Mort AMB
Talksport been on about them at lunchtime, Murphy said they need a plan B because they've been found out. HRH also said they're not going to go over the top spending on transfers but he will back Wilder which White found amusing an Arab Prince being careful with money ( was going to text to say old bog roll is the poor relation FFS . White and Jordan said worse run in Wilders management career and the blunt forums moaning should give them 10 games, the Fulham game is a must win game already.
