Not the most gifted footballer by a long stretch but always put 100% in the 5 years he’s been here, sad to see him go.

Hes like our modern day somedo and loovens great team player put 100% in but unfortunately quality around him has improved meaning cant cut it in the division no more. He will be a great league 1 servant physical league that hell get someone small promoted

This thread epitomises why our fan base accept second best. Nuhiu will go down as another striker that wasn't good enough to hold down a regular starting position. 50 goals in 7 seasons for a striker that was always available is a shocking return. He should have been off loaded a few seasons back along with other dead wood.

I read it ok, he’s an awful player.  Arrived in lean condition and to be fair looked sharp in his first few games.  It didn’t take him long to get into the comfort zone putting on around two stone. Good riddance to one of the worst players I’ve seen in 40 years.

That statement is so wrong.

‘Quality around him has improved...’ it’s been in regression for 3 seasons now

Angrily demand more every second of every day or stay in a coma. It makes no difference other than a willy measuring competition.

So any striker who doesn't average x number of goals (however many that might arbitrarily be) a season is nothing but "dead wood" and should be "off loaded"? Not only does that completely fail to acknowledge the modern reality of squad rotation, but it's also unsustainable unless it's literally raining goals like at Manchester City. Just one example; in his last 7 seasons at Arsenal, Dennis Bergkamp scored 1 more goal than the same length of time Nuhiu spent half his time on our bench. Was he "dead wood"?

Sad to see him leaving to be honest.

Good honest 100% professional and a good man - valuable in our own box too.

Great memories of many 'last minute' goals when we have tended to be unable to shut sides out for many years.

Far more skillful than many give him credit for and will be a good free for another Championship club - if he stays in this country.

All the best Dave.

Comparing willy's and Nuhiu to Bergkamp? lol At times it was like watching a bellend upfront for us.

But due to his ability he doesn’t play anywhere near 40 games a season.

In terms of minutes played, it’s taken him 3 seasons to reach 40+ games in actual playing time.

19/20 1410 minutes = 15.6 games

18/19 1529 minutes = 16.9 games

17/18 1449 minutes = 16.1 games

So in the last 3 seasons it's the equivalent of 48 full league matches? That's like playing every second of a full league campaign with a couple of cup games thrown in. And in that time he's scored 21 goals and assisted another 10.

Yet he still has the reputation of someone who can't score or make an impact?
